If there was a friendly lobby option, then it would bring together all those players who are in a million invite only lobbies. I know I would use it over invite only anyway. I can only see it bringing people together, not the opposite.

You do have friend only lobbies which makes this idea superfluous. OP just wants a guarantee he can never be killed by anyone at anytime. Sounds very petulant and given the tone of his first post and subsequent posts...petulant is the right word.

 

The point is that by offering such a lobby, it will allow like minded players to group together. Everyone who joins such a lobby would do so wanting to never be killed by anyone ever. You might as well say that anyone who uses a solo session is petulant.

You can play in friendly muck about sessions. They're called friend/invite/crew only lobbies. You don't want that because of the uncertainty of death and lack of control of others. Sounds petulant to me.

Strange im not seeing many threads on these forums complaining of low numbers anywhere never mind free aim which is what most people seem to tell you they play, strange considering if the smallest thing happens in game it gets ripped apart on these forums..

 

So no im not just taking some random guys experience of your random experience, im looking at whats infront of me (or not there in this case), ive never seen player numbers being a problem to me, to anyone I have spoken to and ive not sen it be a problem on any forum relating to gta online or any other social media

I didn't read it like that. If he said that he wanted all public open lobbies to be friendly lobbies, then you might be right. But he didn't. He simply wants another public lobby option that doesn't revolve around PVP 24/7. He isn't forcing it on anyone or making it mandatory, wanting it to be the default lobby type for all players signing into GTAO. He simply wants an option. A tool that was used on other R* titles and worked well enough.

@King Where'd you get that statistic? I'm cool with sampling since it's impossible to survey everyone, but the sampling has to be purely random for it to be legitimate.

 

IE, not just GTAF, since AFAIK we're against Friendly lobbies, but we want Hardcore lobbies.

Why can't I play the way I want as long as its within the confines R* laid out. R* have added options for those other players. Those players may not think they are adequate but thats life. You think the demographic of players wanting to do somthing other than kill kill would be more intrusive on player numbers than free aim?
