I understand your frustration OP. I really do. I would like to be able to roam around LS without getting lead to the face every time too. But isn't your argument a bit hypocritical? On one hand you are saying others are in the wrong for playing how they want to and then advising them on how you think they should play the game.

I played Red Dead Redemption online a week ago while tripping on drugs, and I went into the friendly lobby and it was a lot of fun.

When I'm on hallucinogens, I start to have a bad trip when I go into a game like that and people start killing me.

It really freaks me out and I end up unplugging the entire console because I think the government is spying on me.

ugh, I just tend to stay away from violent video games when i'm tripping, just a bad combo in general.

Gta has evolved, its no longer just a 3rd person shooter in a city, the world is more the game now than the guns and story, there is so much more to gta now than blasting everthing that moves and this is where the issues start..

No, it's a 3rd person game, it's not a shooter...now a 3rd person that they added a pointless 1st person to, so the people in 1st will be sniped in their blind spot

 

But we are now also getting people commimg to gta online who want a bit more, that may be roleplay, friendly cruising, exploring or simply as OP put just being creative with this wonderfully detailed world and its cars/peds and myriad of other options..

They are called sissies, pussies, The Sims players...if you're going to do gay sh*t in GTA Online, don't be surprised if someone kills you for being a bitch...if you don't know how to, or even worse, REFUSE to fight back, then get the f*ck off of the game

its the people playing the game, back in 2005/6 when modern combat was released the younger FPS-orientated COD consumerist type player didnt exist and online games had a well mature fanbase.

 

nowadays its the norm for every parent to put their child on the xbox/playstation to get them out of their hair for the afternoon or whatever while they get sh*tfaced at the local pub regretting having them in the first place, so every popular online game is going to have a larger fanbase full of immature, inexperienced and young players who want to do nothing more than kill and 'win' at the game.

well thats how I see it anyway. players who want to do chill things DO exist in GTAO but they are just harder to find among the growing numbers of ignorant casual players

Friendly Fire lobbies already exist if you are just playing with Friend's. Set Attack Priority to Low...

 

As for Friendly Fire only Lobbies you can do nothing about this. R* are aware people want Lobby options and unless they decide to implement them they are not coming any-time soon (Less for PC). Sufficed it to say this forum can do nothing about it.

Wanting to play a game where you can meet up with people and not worry about hitting shot ?

It's called Mine craft . Go play that . This is gta. The whole point is to shoot kill rob rinse repeat . If you want peace and to play this game go to invite only .

Minecraft has a Sword,therefore is about killing people

 

Surgeon Simulatore has a Bonesaw,therefore is about killing people

 

Table Builder Simulator has very heavy wood sticks that can be used as a melee weapon,therefore is about killing people.

 

Just becuase GTA V and the entire GTA series has guns,dosent really mean the whole game is

 

"TRAKATRAKATRAKATRAKA *EXPLOSION* "WE NEED RENNFORCEMENT" *TRAKATRAKA INTESINFIES*. "

 

GTA V has amazing driving mechanics,some people play GTAO as a racing game becuase of the variety of vehicles and the customization available.

 

Also GTA V is quite a good looking game,there has to be at least a guy just staring at a sunset on Del Perro or in Vaspucci ( Beach),With Snapmatic we can capture those awesome sunsets that we havent seen IRL.

 

And let me tell you something,GTA V is the only game that kinda gave me a reason to paly Golf / Tennis,Sports and activities can be quite enjoyable in a way.

There are sometimes I just want to join a public sessions just to hear people on the mics so I stay in my apt because I know if I step out I will get in battle with someone who I don't even know that just want to think he/she (mostly boys) is the best.
