In the two days I've played, I've been stuck in lobbies with 1-5 players.

 

These players are genuinely hostile people, it seems. There's no hesitation or delay in their methods.

A blip is a target, plain and simple. And they will not stop haunting if you evade them or kill them.

 

So far, I've had muggers, bounties, and mercenaries after me within minutes of logging on.

And it's usually in 1-2 player sessions! Craziness.

 

I feel like I'm playing The Purge or something. weird.

thats why i think R* should revert badsport for destroying Pvs to the way it was during patch 1.16

 

i have been in bad sport 5 times for a grand total of 54 IRL days...

1st time = 2 days

2nd time = the timer got glitched and spend 52 days inside.

3rd time = 1 hour, discovered a glitch to escape bad sport.

4th time = 15 minutes, glitched myself out.

5th time = 10 minutes, glitched myself out.

 

bad sport doesnt work. once inside if you manage to make friends with some people in there you would come out a much better player.

 

in my case of the 54 days, i spend some 45 segregated to a empty lobby.

I have never been put in a bad sport lobby but question, do actions in the bad sport lobby help prolong or shorten your sentence?

I was in a regular lobby and never been a BS lobby. Barely ever blow up PV's only for bounties and people chasing/killing me for no reason. So my question is why was there a BS player in a regular public lobby? Was he a hacker/modder or was he glitched in?... I thought there was a separate lobby for the BS players.

When I went from BS to clean my dunce hat stayed on for awhile.When I changed it i couldn't get it back.

Bad sport should only be a thing if you blow up PV's and you don't have money to pay for them.

 

Shouldn't even be that seeing as the owner of the PV doesn't get stuck with the bill anymore.

 

It's daft, you can spawn kill a player 20 times and get rewarded with RP but you get a bad sport warning if you blow-up their PV once. Totally stupid and pointless system.

I spent 2 whole months in the bad sport lobby. Not for blowing up PV, but for killing someone who was in passive, bad sport lobbys are my thing, but the only downside is you cant play with friends.

Only got stuck there once but I think it was from some angry players reporting me for revenge killing them cause I got out after a few missions. I always share cash from random free roam jobs and haven't gotten dodgy player status yet not sure if it has anything to do with it or not.

Been there several times, shortly after release... i went way faster than now. After i've been out, i ran over a passive player & immediately went into Bad Sport again, the same day i went out. Been stuck there for over two months, because the timer didn't work.

 

My next sentence would be 4 months. I wonder if R* resets the Bad Sport, if you play on PS4 & transfer your account? I already asked them, but i guess they don't know it themselves yet.

Honestly, I suspect this is more of a reason for being in Bad Sport than any other, or at least in my case.

 

As I said previously, players who act like tools in missions get treated with no respect from me.

My guess would be that while their behavior was no better than my retaliatory actions, they are the one's who complain.

I just don't have time to be reporting or complaining about players.

Sometimes exploding a PV is your only course of action.

I have been in Bad Sport pool many times with primary account and with alternative accounts.

Since I have recorded over 700 hours, it was possible to extract these pictures from the server.

 

 

 

 

 

1st Bad Sport for 2 days - 06.11.2013

 

 

2nd Bad Sport for 4 days - 10.11.2013

 

 

 

 

 

3rd Bad Sport for 8 days - 23.11.2013

 

 

 

 

 

4th - 7th Bad Sport for 16 days - 19.02.2014 - 22.04.2014 (glitched period, it randomly doubled from 16 to 32, then to 64, and then 128 days. And after some time it was suddenly over).

 

 

 

 

 

8th Bad Sport for 256 days - 08.11.2014

 

After this it will be 9th time for 512 days, then the last level 10th time for 1024 days. This is the maximum Bad Sport level according to Rockstar Games tunables.json.

to shorten your sentence, people say doing missions with other badsports and sharing money woul decrease your timer, i never notice any difference so i call this BS.

 

things that prolong your sentence, blowing up a PVs and killing Passive mode players.

 

it would add 1 hour to your timer for every PV destroyed.

 

it would add 15 minutes to your timer for killing players in Passive mode.

Bad Sport is retarded, mainly due to the fact they feel they have the right to segregate you from your own friends and such. The lobbies aren't as fun as they were 6-7 months ago. For the most part they are empty. Depending on what time zone you are in, and what time you play, you'd be lucky to find the max of 4-6 people in any lobby. For the most part you'll be in empty lobbies. My old account I've been in 4 times, on my new account so far zero. From what I understand, and what I've read on the R* support forums it's back to the way it was in the beginning. Meaning It does not take much to get in there, so 5-10 PV's in a single session or in a short amount of time frame, chances are you'll be visiting. If you were a former resident, safe to say I'd assume it's even easier to go back.

 

R* probably did this due to the fact they are paying to keep open practically empty servers, though they would never openly admit that. Most people who have extremely long sentences either have quit the game, or made new accounts just to be able to play with their friends. Personally I think it should never have existed, the whole system is based on automation, and that system alone is very unreliable. Trust me allot of people are in there for being reported, and for the most part the people doing the reporting are the real trolls. My second time ( 4 days ) I was in there for reports, and I'd imagine it was from the 500 plus tankers I killed during the tank sniping days. I actually called R* that time to find out why because I wasn't blowing up any PV's, and the Tier 1 agent told me it was due to a number of unspecified reports.

Well technically the billionaire days existed from December 22nd 2013 - January 15th 2014, wasn't really a long time. Now if you were doing what you have mentioned in October to November during the initial release you probably would've been on your 3rd sentence by or before thanksgiving. From what I remember, it was the end of November, beginning of December when R* increased the amount of exploded PV's it takes to get into bad sport.

Well 1024 days is 2 years, 9 month and 20 days. The game use the binary number system when calculating the bad sport sentence. If you did some tunables.json modding during new year 2013, then you could see the values for Bad Sport in this document.

 

There is still an old copy of this file in the USB server files found here: http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/tunables-json-bypass-tutorial.1029593/

 

It is not possible to get the updated tunables.json file since Rockstar Games have blocked access to this webpage: prod.cloud.rockstargames.com

On that webpage, that is where your console connects to when you join GTAO and collect the tunables.json which tells your game which values is to be used for HP, Dmg, XP, prizes, bad sport etc.

 

People who have done this modding know what i'm talking about and can confirm this.

back them it was pretty much impossible to get in.

 

i got my first bad sport sentence in october, it was so fun that i wanted to go back in, so from november 2013 til february 2014, i blew up a minimum of 30 PVs per day, trying to go back in.

 

now it only takes me 3 Pvs to go from clean to dodgy player.

See, the challenge here is the word "deserve."

 

Does a player holed-up in a wall breach killing 427,803 cops, blowing up 82 police helicopters, obliterating 8,661 NPCs & 1,009 NPC vehicles "deserve" some kind of punished?

 

Some might argue, "yes, because he's a wall breacher – a cheater – he/she should be punished!"

Others might argue, "no, because it's a glitch in the game architecture and he's only doing what the game allows."

Still, some may argue, "yes, you shouldn't be able to get away with that kind of brutal mayhem in a game... it's sick!"

Yet, others may say, "no, because the person is playing the way it was intended with RPGs, grenades, stickies, and mini-guns."

 

In GTA4, Free Roam had no hall-monitor slapping people on the wrist and saying, "be nice... or else!"

 

It's hypocritical and moronic to think that a game designed around drugs, crime, and murder using guns, RPGs, grenades, Jets, Tanks, and other brutal force weaponry would have a concern whether people's pretty hot pink Blistas are getting blown up or not.

 

Just my thoughts, but I certainly don't think "deserve" is an accurate word. Not in a game like this.

I've been sent to BS 4 or 5 times. Each time I would play the game it was meant to be played with random people. (Missions races ect.) Playing for 2 hours straight (no breaks to freeroam) and we would magically end up in a clean lobby. I'm in there now and trying to find a couple of people to help break us out.
