The only thing that'll make this game even more great is if we can drive police cars. Man i'd love to drive in my squad car across the country!

Bump.

January Q&A for the crew, nobody posted it so I thought I'd share it:

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/826293-The-Crew-%96-January-Q-amp-A-Answers?p=9501002#post9501002

Interesting bits:

-In cockpit view you can see the real inside of the car.

-The whole interior of the car can be customized.

-You can get hit by trains on train tracks.

-Traffic levels differ depending on the time of the day. (Traffic will be at peak at noon and less at night)

Can't wait.

Nah, not interested in this. Looks too much like Most Wanted.

What do they mean by, I can see the real inside of the car?

It means you'll see the real inside of the car, you silly little skinny whinny. For example, you drive a Viper - you will be able to see a real Viper's interior.

Holy sh*t, wrong thread.

Could of sworn I read it as The Division. Fail.

I'm not really all that interested, from what's been shown of the driving the game looks like NFS with customisation and no Porsche.

Looking at the gameplay, IMO, it looks terrible. It's just another racing game like Most Wanted 2012 in a bigger world. My interest is completely gone.

Detective Phelps

Just saw the trailer as an advert on Youtube.

Then I proceeded to watch the full gameplay.

Fall 2014? Nice!

I really can't wait for this to release. By then, soon, hopefully I'll have a new console.

Yeah, I was pretty stoked for this game upon it's announcement but after watching gameplay, it really does look like Most Wanted. I thought The Crew was supposed to be this massively open world, huge, huge cities and just total carnage? We've been duped again it seems.

I may play this at some point when the game has been out for some time but it's definitely off my pre-order list.

The Crew reminds me of one of those arcadey games you play at Dave and Busters where you sit down with the fake steering wheel and everything lol.

As an open world concept, IMO, I think they should have followed the same route as Driver: SF, that game was so good on so many levels. The story was decent, the cars were fantastic especially the handling, the map was big, the online was okay.

They should have created a massive map, kept the same open world formula as Driver: SF, add the online and do whatever they want after that.

LOL good luck with Boston, every other f*cking street is a one way. Take a look at a Boston street map yourself.

Homemade Dynamite

For people claiming to have been so interested in the game, they certainly did a poor job following it until now.

The joystiq gameplay footage I saw made it look pretty good. I had no idea it was being made by ext TDU2 staff (one of my favorite driving games in recent years) and even ubisoft reflections who made driver.

This seems to be much more my style than a Forza or GT experience. More about the passion of just driving and enjoying the cars you own and customizing them, rather than having races.

Hopefully there is enough to unlock without being forced into racing. I could easily play this game for hundreds of hours without even doing any sort of competitive game modes.

Shame it isn't out until the end of the year. I will probably have to pick up a next gen console for this if it turns out to be decent.

Can't wait for this game.

We'll just have to hope the customisation is as good as Midnight Club LA. I saw a decal editor, but that was some sh*tty iPhone app or something. Let's hope the actual game has the decal editor.

I saw some racing gameplay, and the races look really good, saw some gameplay in some dock area and it looked like a track from closed-off track racing games. I quite like that feeling, you feel like you're in a linear game only to drive off into an open world.

It has about 22 customizable categories. 8 of them are for visuell customization. Source is the german video I posted

Detective Phelps

Well, they said a long time ago that the game is online only...

Looks like I might as well not be hyped for it. After all, it's just another racing game. They have become repetitive over time.
