Prop number switch glitch, how to stack any prop

How to stack any prop, i call it "prop number switch glitch"

like switching from Cement Bags to Empty Container or Electrics Box to Small Ramp,

but switch the props position using cycle items.

note: cant be used to stack normal props with dynamic props

 

 

all props place have a number, 1st prop placed i number 1, 2nd prop placed is number 2 and so on up to 50.

 

1. place 2 containers and look at menu where it says "cycle items 2/2"

the first container placed is number 1 and 2nd is number 2.

 

 

 

2. click edit on prop 2 then go to cycle items press left and place at the same time and prop 2 will be where prop 1 is.

it look like 1 container but both are in same spot

 

 

 

3. now click edit on prop 2 then press cancel.

prop 2 is now on top of prop 1

 

 

 

4. now prop 3 needs to be switched onto prop 2,

again prop 3 drops to ground, click edit then cancel

here you can see prop 3 inside prop 1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

note: don't need to switch 2 onto 1, 3 onto 2 etc.. can be 47 onto 12 or 36 onto 7 it doesn't matter as long as the prop you want to stack on is the next prop on the cycle item thing,

 

UPDATE: Smooth medium ramps

 

to put a medium/large ramp on another ramp place a sign on end of the ramp.

then switch a medium/large ramp on to the sign

once ramp is built make it smooth the normal way but switch ramps on to signs

tested and is working in all parts of PS3 creator, race, deathmatch, vehicle deathmatch, capture and LTS.

might be different on xbox but i have used it myself a few months ago in race creator on xbox.

the timing needs to be perfect, its harder to do then switching from Cement Bags to Empty Container or Electrics Box to Small Ramp.

is it only TDM where its not working? does it work for races?

this is an especially important glitch in face of the switch to current gen consoles. IF we are even still able to use the switch glitch, chances are high we won't have the same props in the same place as before, i.e. you might not be able to switch, for example, the green container for the cash crate. this glitch basically allows for any prop to be switched for any other. So... thanks a lot, i guess

This glitch is the most important next to the general 'switch'-glitch. Thanks again. This is especially great for deathmatch cover props.

the timing is harder than the other switch glitch, switch and place at the same time. it never works the first try, its like the first try lines up the camera.

just a thought; after i got it right the first time i found the name of the glitch a bit confusing, as you don't actually switch anything. but stack it on top of the other object, as opposed to the traditional switch glitch where you actually switch one prop for another. So, "Prop number stack glitch" might be more fitting. i know this is as unimportant of an issue as can be, but i couldn't help mentioning it.

Has anyone been able to put spawn points on floating items, such as cargo containers, or the white cabins, since the Last Team Standing update?

 

I think R* removed this function due to rigged DMs (you respawn, fall to your death & the other team wins).

Thanks to the OP for that tutorial, really handy way to get props in places you normally can't, just a shame it doesn't work with hills because rockstar for some reason just don't want you be able to place stuff on inclines properly! :-p Also thanks to stronkwave for the other vid, useful to know how to get those sideways props using the fallen tree :-)
