DavideMitra Posted November 8, 2014 Share Posted November 8, 2014 I have to upload in the internet my first San Andreas map mod (it only alters the savehouse.IPL, an original file), but, before doing that, I have to explain the people some things I don't really know. I can't upload an incomplete readme, and I don't want to damage the savegames of some players! So...I have three questions: 1) What happens if someone installs the mod without beginning a new game? Could the game crash and damage the savegame the player was trying to load? 2a) What happens if someone uninstalls the mod and tries to load one of his savegames? (I mean...the savegames he was using when the mod was installed) 2b) Same question...but in this case the player saved the game inside of my edited safehouse interior (I only edited a single interior)... I'm sure that, in normal cases, nothing bad would happen. However, I'm asking those questions because I altered an ORIGINAL IPL. Also, I can't test it on my own because I forgot to do a backup copy of the original file. In order to test it on my own, I'dd have to reinstall my game. Thanks in advance!!! I have v1, so, I can't know what will happen with v2 I know that some mods can't run with v2, because (as I heard...but I might be wrong) it includes some changes that work as an anti-modding protection (I don't get the point, but...however...that's what team Rockstar did) Edited November 8, 2014 by DavideMitra Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
