Best Weapon

What is the best weapon for people? I used to use the combat MG but lately ive noticed that my special carbine does the job a lot faster when i aim at the head. Any others that are even better? I know shotguns but this is for long-ish range

combat mg....it has superior range to anything exept the snipers and the minigun

but kinda, each weapon has its own advantages

assault rifles for dodging burst and firing youreself at half long ranges and slightly beyond, assault shotguns for close quarters, ap pistol for ranges between short and half long, combat mg for longer ranges and heavy sniper for ultra long ranges

and that new sniper for what lays between the range of the heavy sniper and the combat mg

oh, and the musket for the nice awsome kill of of a low ranked player coming towards you

honestly it seems to be a tie between both the carbine and special carbine

 

but more recently i've taken a liking to the SMG at close range, getting dem headshot killing eazypeezy

if the shotgun guy is also wearing a bulletproof helmet, it's just plain unfair as you cant easily just pop them in the face

So the shotgun is overpowered for doing exactly what a shotgun is designed to do? Video games gives shotguns the shaft the vast majority of the time. Shotguns, even open choke, do not spread in real life like they do in video games. A normal open choke shotgun will land ever single one of the pellets of OO buck in a man sized target at 20 yards.

 

The whole point of a shotgun is to use it at short ranges, not point blank ranges. Very few games have done shotguns well because early video games like DOOM bade their spread absolutely ridiculous and later games just followed suit, the ignorant following the ignorant.

 

20 feet is ridiculously short range. that's a little more than 3 times the height of a person. less than 7 yards. A shotgun will have a spread of about maybe 4 inches at that distance.

Still... 20 feet is stupid close distance. I could long jump that back in the day. Most shotguns are good for 100-150 feet for nearly every kind normal round, as I've seen first hand on clay pidgeons, squirrels, and doves. Even a sawed off can manage 20 feet easily. Then that's not even mentioning rifled slug barrel guns that can reach out to 300 feet or so without winking.

If you're a Free Aimer and don't use this gun then you're doing it wrong.

In all seriousness I feel like the advance has a large bullet spread compared to the special carbine and the regular carbine. So I feel more confident shooting moving players with those two guns.

I still overlook the Carbine despite it being a favourite of many. I've only used it in forced dm's.
