Crimson Glyph
I mean, I know you can go and use it when you're out in the open world and in vehicles, but will you still get the option when in safehouses, and such? I'm curious to see if you can see your little animations like drinking and smoking while in this view. Also, has anything been said about the mechanics when you're in this mode? I mean, they can't feel just like they did in third-person, because the looking and sensitivity would have to be different. Can't wait for this game to come out (again). dyz
Well it looks like you will be able to be in first person in your safehouse! hopefully ahah raggaren94
Hazel Mae
I would assume so. I doubt Rockstar would be daft enough to make you switch into first person when you enter your safe house. And I doubt making the animations for drinking/smoking and such would be a big deal to them when they themselves said they had over 3000 new weapon animations alone. Emmi
R* said that EVERYTHING except the cutscenes have been remade in first person, so we can fully explore EVERYTHING in first person. Tanks, submarines, bycicles, bikes, helicopters, jetskis, boats, cars, ragdoll and so on and so on, everything we can enjoy in first person view!!! I can't wait to explore the depths of the ocean with the Submarine or later on with the Kraken Sub in FIRST PERSON, omg that will be so amazing, finally you get a proper view of the ocean and the ocean life down there, maybe with the Kraken Sub you can take underwater pictures, it would only make sense and I absolutely think that's gonna happen! So glad I'm a returning player so I get all of the exclusive stuff. is the best GN 92, Che Guevara_187, BLOOD and 1 other
BlackNoise
Check out one of the video previews that talk about it. I know IGN did one and I think CVG went into detail too. They said it's super deep. Everything can be seen from the first person view, even cutscenes.

saintsrow
At the stroke of midnight on 18 Nov, the first player in the queue for the first global download of GTAV will download, boot up, log in, switch to first person view, drive to the nearest hooker, take her behind the nearest dumpster, and will be immediately disappointed. Freezer89
No, cutscenes can't be seen in first person view, that's been confirmed by CVG. Not that I doubt you but you got a source on this? Because according to engadget, CVG says the cutscenes are in FPV as well. http://www.engadget.com/2014/11/05/gta-v-new-gen-ps4-xb1-first-person/ (I can't watch the video at the moment though) Seems rather unlikely that the view will also be in cutscenes given how much work it must have been to remade everything. It'd be utterly amazing otherwise. Edited November 8, 2014 by Freezer89 Johnny Sins

Raynos
Does it work on hookers? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) No one knows for certain at this stage but the general consensus is No. Hookers have their own camera angle that takes over when you start the deed. GTA V and IV have always had it that way, so I doubt this will change for obvious reason.. Edited November 9, 2014 by Raynos

BlackNoise
Cutscenes would be the easiest thing to change to first person, since R* doesn't use pre-rendered footage. They could easily alter that code for any camera/view they want. I'm more curious how the cinematics will be affected, since the cutscenes weren't even in third person view previously. Wow, that is just beyond awesome and it is really going to captivate those instances in a more 'in-our-face' and immersive way in juxtaposition to Last-Gen. Enduring New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V in the First-Person perspective will also give that sense that the player is more in-tune with the dispositions and accounts of Michael, Franklin and Trevor, and the impending ramifications of said actions. It will be as though we, the player, have asserted ourselves to audaciously commit the acts, and that feeling will radiate within. Those electrifying, debilitating and questionable moments of the game will be highlighted to a more realistic degree than what was feasible in Last-Gen. I cannot wait for it.
