Returning cars from GTA IV

Could someone with a pic of the cognoscenti plz PM me?

I'm fairly certain the Cognosceni isn't confirmed. I've copied the image from another thread, plus my response:

 

 

 

 

A Cognoscenti sedan from IV was spotted in a recent stream. So you know what that means? There are more cars returning, they're just trying to keep them under wraps and only unveiled the cars that were already seen or talked about!!!

 

Are you sure? May have been the congnoscenti cabrio as the front and rear are very similar. I thought I saw a PMP600 in a stream but I think it was just the low quality of the stream fooling me.

That screenshot looks like a low quality image of half of Franklin photoshopped onto an IV screenshot. Sorry but it looks really fake. Why would you cut the picture like that unless it was to hide the IV background? And why only half of Franklin and the back of the car? If you saw a new car then you would get a decent picture of it, or at least show the entire screen.

 

I'll believe it's in V when I see a proper screenshot.

How so. A lot of screenshots from the streams look like it. As I've said before, when these streams are in motion, the textures look blurred out similar to what you see in that screenshot. The lighting in that screen is not similar to IV's nor EnB's. I guess we'll just have to wait until release to truly find out. But I'm going to go lurk Reddit right now to see if I find anything on it.

I want the Uranus(fox body Mustang) back, except with rear wheel drive instead of front wheel drive like in IV.

It's a ford sierra cosworth not a fox body mustang, even the tuned version in GTA IV had the big duck wing like it's real life counter part.

 

NO, it isn't.

It is a sierra the back end with the slanted windows are based of the mustang but the front is off the sierra looks almost identical pluss the modded one with the wing and body kit are identical to the real life cosworth and it was front wheel drive which is unheard of in a muscle car.

So with the front being a sierra, the modded version and front wheel drive I think it's safe to say it's more of a ford sierra than a fox body mustang with the only real identical thing on the Uranus being the back end (slanted windows etc).

 

The ONLY Sierra part is the wing and MAYBE the front. Shall we mention people still call the Sultan RS a Subaru when it's 2 door. FWD has no effect in the basis because the Sierra Cosworth was RWD. It's a Mustang.

The front is a sierra you just cant except it's not the mustang you thought and wanted it to be, the back end definitely looks like the mustang but the front is a sierra, and I never thought the sultan was a Subaru back looks like a Lancer & front looks like an alteza, and what would be more likely to have RWD a sierra or a mustang?.

Was the Sierra Cosworth even available without import in the States? (I'm genuinely not sure if it was or wasn't). I do remember the marketing spiel ford churned out about its standard model replacement ,the Mondeo, being the first truly global car they produced. If not, it doesn't make much sense that it would be fairly common on the streets of LC or LS.

 

My dad had a 4x4 cozzie, without doubt one of the best cars I've had the pleasure of driving. Just a shame it's nigh on impossible to find a decent one at a realistic price these days, mainly because they were rust buckets

Well that dosnt really matter because it's a game I mean how many corola ae86 (Futo) would you see in the states pluss with all the british and a few Irish people who work at rockstar it would be a big choice considering the cossie was the classic boy racer of the 80s & 90s.

Yeah, FWD Mustang. Okay. It's a Sierra Cosworth with a Mustang roof. Why is this even an argument still? This has been obvious since 2008. Christ.

Yeah, FWD Cossie. It's a damn Mustang. The roof, quarter panels and even the black trim match an '83 Mustang. As do the hood and trunk

I say the Uranus fromGTA IV and III is 95% 83-86 Mustang GLX 5.0 and 5% Cosworth. The only part on it to be a Cosworth is the wing after you mod it, maybe even the headlights and rally lights after moding too, but everything else is an exact match for an 83-86 Mustang GLX 5.0. The cosworth rear side windows are round not a triangle with luvers like is on the Uranus and Mustang. My family has owned many mustangs over the years and I have worked on them alot to know.

As for the Uranus from GTA SA is not a Mustnang. Might be a mix of a cosworth and a 300zxor something.

Haha 95% mustang 5% sierra very realistic the car was made with the intention of it being a sierra & mustang hybrid but mostly a sierra the cars are similar yes but it dosnt feel like a mustang or any muscle car it dosnt sound like one and it has RWD which is unheard of in a muscle car so saying it's 95% a mustang is petty far off I mean the only real thing rockstar made similar was half the back end off the car, it was made to be a tuner not a muscle car im pretty sure rockstar would agree. The Merit is RWD despite clearly being based on the 8th generation Impala, as well as the Asterope being RWD while clearly being based on the 6th generation Camry, so it's silly to completely dismiss its Foxbody styling due to the drivetrain. Couple that with the fact that the Sierra Cosworth was never available in the US without importing, and it becomes obvious that the car is primarily based on the Foxbody Mustang with minor elements of the Sierra Cosworth.

Its a game I don't think rockstar are only picking cars that where available in The states pretty sure an ae86 (futo) had to be imported.

The front of the Uranus is literally the ONLY part that looks like the Sierra. By your(GypsyBastard's) logic you could take the grill and headlights off of a Ford Focus, put them on the front of a Bentley Continental and call the Continental a Focus, then completely deny that it is or ever was a Bentley Continental. I find it funny how you talk about us not being able to "except it's not the mustang you thought and want it to be" when it's you who's not accepting that it's not the Sierra you think and want it to be.

Like I said before, the modifications are a NOD to the Sierra Cosworth, but it doesn't change the fact that they're on a Mustang. Just because you take the wing, body kit, etc. off of a car and stick it on a different car doesn't make the different car into the one you took the stuff off of.

 

For example, this little compact car with a Ferrari F40 wing(among other things). It's quite obviously still a little compact car and not a Ferrari, so you wouldn't call it a Ferrari would you? Same goes with the Uranus, a Mustang with a Sierra wing is still a Mustang. A wing, body kit, or whatever else you can stick on a car doesn't change what car it is.

 

If you're still not convinced then I'm done with this debate and you can keep on believing that the Uranus is a Sierra Cosworth if that makes you happy

To be honest when I first saw the Uranus I thought it was a Sierra, because I am English and have never seen one of those Mustang's before, but have seen loads of Sierra's. Seeing the pictures above make it clear that it is a Sierra nose with the Mustang body. The modded version is a definite nod to the Sierra and Escort Cosworth's though, it even has the chav hat behind the huge Cosworth spoiler! As far as the GTA vehicle mash ups are concerned, the 80's American/European ford combination actually works quite well. Shame the Uranus doesn't appear to be in V though.

Hopefully it will come in a DLC somewhere along the line. Or maybe it's one of the ones they've added to NG and nobody has seen yet, I'm still convinced that there has to be more than has been revealed.

I would give anything to have a vintage Teal coloured Kuruma from Grand Theft Auto III in Grand Theft Auto V. It has since been succeeded by the http://gta.wikia.com/Chavos and Feroci in Grand Theft Auto IV and the http://gta.wikia.com/Asterope in Grand Theft Auto V. All three are ugly in my opinion, and don't quite have that 'vintage' feel about them like being able to drive the Kuruma again. Sigh.

I completely forgot it was the first car driven in GTA III, haha. I only remember it spawning at that one place by the docks on the first island.
