BlackNoise
The damage is just like IV but the cars are way harder to deform. They need to increase that damage sensitivity preferably even more than it was in IV . Also it would be better if bonnets bend upwards and also wing mirrors fall off. I also hope plane and heli damage is improved and they can be split in more pieces. I missed the feature to lose your heli's tail so much in V. This. The damage is very close to IV. It just takes longer to get there, because R* included stronger cars with their updated vehicle physics. It won't change, because it's not about console performance. It's more about difficulty. The cars will look better, so in that way the damage will look better too, but R* isn't changing the difficulty of the vehicle physics for new gen. On IV PC I modded the vehicle damage to make the vehicles easier to deform. It is actually fairly simple, each vehicle has a number in a text file to represent how easily deformed it is, lower the value and the vehicle becomes easier to deform. When you buy vehicle armour in V it is essentially increasing this value to make the vehicle less deformable. I liked having more deformable vehicles in IV, one or two big front end collisions and the steering would be damaged or a wheel would jam. It make the game harder, but I am a good driver and prefer it more realistic. The game engine has the capability, but to make the game easier for kids who can't drive rockstar made the cars far tougher. One improvement I would like to see is body panels deforming separately to each other. At the moment cars behave like a big lump of deformable clay, rather than separate sheets of metal. Open the hood on a car and hit a wall. The front of the car bends and the open hood magically deforms to fit back into place, even though it hit nothing. ChumCrumpet
-awesome video snip- So realistic... i can see a few problems with fun tho. People don't like when their car has a scratch, and they immediately change cars if they see 1mm scratch. At least these OCD freaks in gta do. I'm the opposite. I love a small dent on the fender or a scratch the door. Makes the car feel a lot more real instead of the plastic clean-as-a-whistle super cars driving about all over Los Santos. I think I might be the only one who collects the rusty cars.

It's fine when it's one of my souped up mission vehicles, but on my nicer vehicles I just cruise around in online...I'm not a huge fan of scratches. Then again, I am quite good with the vehicles I own.
