Convince Me Whether or Not to Get V on Both PS4 & PC

Honestly your going to do what you want to do. Triple dip or go on to pc without the ps4, it all just depends on the whole, if I have a problem with something like this I do what you did in the original post, write my pros and cons. Which ever one is greater is how I chose. If you're pros are greater than buy the game 3 times. But the pc version might not support mods if it has that software onit, not ssure what it is called cause I don't play pc or use custom mods in my games.

How patient are you? if you can wait, then wait, but if you have the money, need to play it and cannot wait, buy both.

 

I'm happy there's no exclusive content for certain platforms, no exclusive car for buying the game from a certain shop, with a different exclusive car if you buy from another shop, maybe an exclusive plane if you buy from the rockstar warehouse. Things could be horrible.

By January GTA should still get a good price if you trade it in. That way you end up paying maybe 30 bucks to be able to spend your Christmas with V.V

 

 

Just get both, trade in your console copy and put it towards the PC version when it releases if you are too worried about money.

That's a good idea that I hadn't considered. I had planned on getting the digital copy if I did get it on PS4, but I obviously could get the physical disc in order to trade it in or sell it .

I know I'll get a lot of flack for this, but I ended up buying a PS4. Luckily I got a good deal on a used Glacier White model from Amazon Warehouse (it didn't have Destiny, but I'm not complaining). Sure, it's unlikely I would have bought it if the PC delay hadn't happened, but ignoring that, I finally got around to playing The Last of Us, many of my friends game on PS4 instead of PC, and it makes for a decent Blu Ray/DVD player (I chose an SSD over a disc drive when I built my PC).

 

Don't worry, I'm still going to get the PC version come January 27, of course. Why do you think I even built the rig in my signature to begin with? I might even sell the PS4 to one of my friends somewhere down the line and put that money towards a GTX 970/980 ;)

 

Also, I had a little bit of extra money to burn. If cash is even a slight issue and you can only afford one or the other, I'd recommend the PC version in a heartbeat just for 60FPS and mod support. If you can splurge (or you just can't wait), then by all means get the PS4 version now and the PC version later.

  • Get to play the updated version 10 weeks earlier.

Becuase of this trust me get it. Originally in 2013, ever since PS4 was announced I was going to get absolutely no PS3 games so I could save up for PS4 and that including GTA V.(Despite how big a fan I was) So instead I was just like you know what I can wait for a PS4 version. But once it hit September and that hype train started a' rollin' I realized wait this is a monumental moment, this is the next GTA, I have to get it. The urge i'm sure will just be too much for you to bear.

silly question but if DRM restricts mods, does this effect any trainers [like Simple Native] for single player, or will mods be restricted for Online only?

Considering that this Denuvo DRM would also prevent you from peeking in the game files, then it would be for both SP and GTAO.

You can have a bunch of free mods :p. Once the appropriate car models are available in GTA V PC, you can bet I'll be making LAPD & LASD skins for it.

Why do people ask on forums what should they do? LOL Are some of you babies, who can't make decisions on their own? Don't you have your own opinion?! Or is it really an ADVICE you're asking for? If you're asking for advice, then you're doing it wrong! LOL However if you want for others to impose you their opinion, then you're on the right path!

If they were on time like all other developers out there and released the PC version on time with the current gen consoles, this wouldn't be a f*cking issue and this guy would only have to cough up another $60 instead of another $120 for the same f*cking thing.

 

Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. OP, save your money and buy it on the better platform. We're no longer on a blind run not sure when or if a PC version will come. We know when it is coming, all you have to do is have a little patience.

Yeah, I mean to me it's more than worth it to get both, heck, I even bought both of the old gen versions just so I could play the game with all of my friends and besides, I knew I was going to play through the story more than once.

 

You mentioned you had friends on console, so it might be worth leaving all your GTA online for console and just use PC for single player, story and/or modding. Either way I know I get my money's worth in mesurement of hours and enjoyment no matter how many times I buy this game.

I know it's tempting, but just wait it out man, it's only 2 months.

 

There are heaps of other games coming out that will surely keep you busy until January comes around.

 

You'll spoil it if you get it on PS4.

Yeah right...get it on PS4 and get another limited game, without mods and with much less comfortable control scheme! Not to mention much less customized graphic settings, trainers and other important stuff...i'd rather save my money on "COMPLETE" version, which's PC, rather then betatesting this game for a second time!...no thanks! Not trying to start PC master race debates, just pointing out my opinion...

I think you should buy the PS4 version. You mention that most of your friends are on PS4, so it makes sense to transfer the data there. Then you get to PC Master Race in January and mod away.

 

Personally, I'll be getting the PS4 version as my main platform. I'll also be getting the PC version as my "damn this looks pretty" and f*ck-around platform. I don't want to enable mods if I'm also going to be playing online. It's too much possible trouble I just don't wanna deal with.
