How come I cannot pick up weapons in survival, but only health and arm

I think you're only allowed to pick up weapons that you don't own, if im correct.

With the cost of ammo, it would be nice to pick up any "leftover" ammo for yourself provided you own the weapon(s)...heck, even Watch Dogs lets you do that...let alone raiding the glove box of vehicles you steal (cool idea IMO).

after a certain amount of ammunition you can't pick up more. for example i bought full ammo for all my guns (9999) and if i want to pick up more in a survival for the gun i was using it doesn't let me, silly sh*t i know

You can only pick up ammo if you aren't over the game limit of your current ammo level. So for instance I believe if you have over 3 RPG rockets you can't pick up any rocket ammo. If you have 2 you can.

 

Same principle for other weapons, not sure what the limits are though.

 

A tip I used to do is that if you drop your near full weapon such as a Grenade launcher (in the weapon select screen press Triangle/Y), then pick up the ammo for that weapon and straight after that pick up the weapon you just dropped you should gain ammo on your original amount.

 

I say I used to do that because I found it doesn't work 100% of the time and I don't have much patience to keep doing it, you can try it for yourself and see if it works for you though
