Don't forget that install base still dwarfs the current gen and games are still being developed for it, too. Big games too. No worries there. But yeah, you may 'miss out' on some stuff. Don't know where are you getting the idea that Rockstar will leave last gen in the cold. It's the complete opposite. Rockstar stated that ALL versions of the game will receive dlc and updates simultaneously. And it's common sense the story dlc and heist were delayed because Rockstar was busy finishing up development of the new gen and PC versions. After all, they have a ridiculously-huge install base on the old consoles and they would be essentially flushing money down the toilet if they didn't release the story DLC for it. I talked to Ned Luke on Facebook a few months back about the DLC and he said that he was still doing mocap work for it. I suppose that they aim for a simultaneous release on all platforms, or on the consoles at the very least. It makes sense from a business standpoint, but I can definitely see why it leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. Especially considering that they had promised to release the SP DLCs 'soon' in September last year. GTAO is why.but GTAO and GTA 5 are different games, I imagine GTAO will be essentially set up like WOW, it will have map expansions, but they will use your social club account to find which maps or games in the series you own. I've been gaming for a long time and for as long as I remember games get delayed. It would actually be interesting to see how many classic, fondly remembered games ran into severe delays or even development-hell. Quite a few. All those cheap and nasty movie tie ins on last gen... They were all delivered perfectly on time! Whooptidoo. Now THAT left a bad taste in my mouth. Oh, and don't listen to promises from marketing people. Dude, the old versions are still going to be supported, they are just not going to be as good. Also, the current gen is Xbox One and PS4. You're gonna have to make a switch eventually just like you did from PS2 or Xbox to old gen. Now is a great excuse if you are that worried about it. (Please use correct terminology, xbox 360 is 8 years old, it's old, previous, dead gen) Well that ship has sailed my friend.
