id like to see a survival type of mode with cougars/wolves/bears/etc

 

i dont get why they wouldnt add animals to gta online if they did it in RDR. especially on next gen platforms

There damn well better be animals. Rockstar can get away with stringing everyone along on DLC and heists, but there will be a lot of ANGRY players out there if it turns out they paid 60 bucks for a new game and there aren't any squirrels.

+1, Squirrels are too awesome to leave out.

 

 

They can be a weapon for Trevor in SP.

I'm quite curious to know what additional elements the New Gen consoles will have that the Original Gen don't, I suspect quite a few elements won't be in the NG due to lag issues.

 

Lag is a whole other element to the game. I'm on an 80mbit connection so I don't consider myself 'lagged', however, encounters with some players in missions has caused some really really weird sh*t to happen. Like the last three times I tried to get into the Titan in "A Titan Of A Job" mission once someone had already gotten in the pilots seat I ended up standing on the ground in the same spot as the Titan, and the plane then took off without me. And in "Los Santos Connection" I tried to pick someone up in my Buzzard and saw the animation of them climbing in so flew away, only to see their blip still on the map where I supposedly collected them!

PS4 can't handle animals in GTA V, PS3 can handle animals in Red Dead. ...what? Rockstar pls

Sarcasm? I would love to hunt deer for a profit. I think that would be fun. Then it would almost be like a red neck simulator. Hunting, stock car racing, murder, incest...

Yea man survival with animals.

Maybe in first waves would be some kittys who want to snuggle with u but big waves would be bears etc.

Seeing as there are people online now, we should hopefully have an answer soon.

We have an answer: No animals.

 

There's hope that it could be patched in tomoz however.

There was an old lady in GTA3 who had shopping bags surgically attached to her hands; no matter how hard you beat her dead body with a baseball bat, she'd never let go of her precious shopping lol

Don't get me wrong, I've got no problems killing players, but I'm no animal killer. Sure, with that hunting mode I can do it, but I'm not a fan of this kind of thing. But.... I will LOVE to have animals online: fighting sharks in the ocean, looking out for big cats or even bears, chilling with some deers or enjoying mow sounds of cows somewhere.


No animals but the hydra makes it worth the paper

What? Where? Any proof of that? AFAIK there is no Hydra.

I remember the run up to GTA Online I was really looking forward to animals being in the game and was massively let down when i found out that they weren't included. Don't know about other people but I found it kind of took the life out of the game, if I'm in free mode and I go into the countryside I'm still half expecting to run over a dear like in singleplayer lol.

 

I loved how they included animals on RDR multiplayer. Me and friends used to go into the woodland areas and attack as many bears as possible. That was fun and could have been on GTAO.

No Animals online for animal cruelty issues shouldn't really matter because you can kill them in singleplayer, Same with the strip club nudity it doesn't make sense that all the strippers are completely clothed.

I don't have any idea. I'd like something official from r* saying why they choose not to put them in. I understand last time around it is a hardware thing, but this is silly.

Any speculation about them showing up via dlc?

They can't/wont do it because of bandwidth limitations, unless they either drastically reduce peds and vehicles and replace them with animals or increase their bandwidth limits from the measly 256/64 they use now, we won't see animals. Ever.
