To be honest, I can't remember where that comes from. I'm pretty sure that Lester suggests you get an apartment and says something about having more space, and then that probably turned into a thread here about how it proves Rockstar are holding back heists.

Seriously? You don't remember? It's always been in the game so it isn't unconfirmed. And it wasn't something made up on the forums.

 

While I don't truck with Cash Card Conspiracies...I'm also not down with revisionist history either.

 

It's one of the reasons everyone (except yourself) grinded to get the top level apartment so quickly after launch. Because we wanted to be prepared for the heists Lester instructed us on in game.

 

Pretending that this was something "Bitter Bettys" made up on the forum is highly disingenuous.

The only time I ever go into my apartment now is if I want to change clothes, easier than walking round a clothes store trying to find the specific type of item you want to change because I already bought everything.

This statement is false. Highest End Apartment was always meant for heists and confirmed in the game by Lester no less.

-You could water the plant

-You could alter lighting

A void that grows as your character levels up and you no longer *need* stuff. When you fill your first garage you want more. Not because you want, but because you can. This extends beyond just garages and goes on to everything in this game. No matter how much money you have, you'll never be truly happy. It's a deep message that R* has been exploring since GTAIV.

I have apartments so that I can do those things if I want to, but I mainly just go in and out of the garage. Saying that, I recently moved both apartments and I'm really pleased with them. I moved from the top floor of Richards Majestic into the one with the new interior, and got a little place right near Trevor's. They're both really nice and it was nice to have a change,

Exactly this... i don't understand why the idle timer don't rises higher in your apt. i mean... it's one of the most common reasons i go up to my apt.: being idle for some minutes doing stuff irl o_O

Well maybe at first but than... There were countless player in after the moneycalypse who owned Eclipse Tower, every Supersport Car and the whole Pegasus-list. It soon started to get boring spawning in the same apt./garage with every single (mission-) invite. Some of them quit and some of them sold mostly everything to get their personal style in cars and living-areas.

 

Even money isn't the issue i only own 2 supers atm, moved to Tinsel (main) and Del Perro (2nd char) and got 2 houses because i like the flair/interior more than any other apt/garage option. I think those who act like your description are those who haven't find their own style yet. On the other hand i can understand that exactly this is a goal for many new player: gathering the expensive stuff - but than? After archiving this goal what will u do next? Right starting all over your own style or simple quit the game hm?

 

Chrome Adders, Gold Zens and Eclipse Tower arent any achievements nowadays, just a lack in creativity or personality - no offense just my personal point of view

yeah some of the moves R* did i will never understand... before the highlife update the view in Del Perro was really nice... down to the pier & beach... with the HL update they changed the view this ugly courtyard - just what da f*ck o_O – Del Perro 205k was my first high end apt. in the beginning of gtao but now... im just sad looking out the window in Del Perro

Is it only me? I can't set my Spawn location as Garage, I put it on Garage and it automatically switches back to apt...

1.17 made people freeze when spawning in the garage, so R* made us spawn in the apartment even when having spawn set to garage. Next update should fix this.

I'm not defensive because I am correct. That has not been confirmed. Are you one of those people that adds extra words and assumptions to sentences, or are you just arguing for the sake of it?

 

No-one knows if we need that room or not. It is suggested that we do. Lester does that. He does not say, "Buy an apartment with an extra room so you can plan heists". Please, please, please prove me wrong. Actual proof that can be backed up, and not just your opinion.

 

I stated a fact. It is unconfirmed. Don't take it to heart that you're wrong, and stop beating a dead horse.
