Why Are You Buying GTA 5 for Next Gen?

But I'm not buying it yet. The PS4 is too expensive.

Compared to the older platforms, I'd imagine. A good amount of people (my roommate is a perfect example of this) wait a few years before buying a new system for the price to go down.

 

Hardcore gamers like me can't wait that long and need the product as it's available, but a lot of people don't mind the wait and rather pay less for it sometime down the road.

 

i think it was someone on here recently who posted a link to an article that broke down game and console costs over the year. Taking inflation into account, this generation of consoles are some of the cheapest ever released.

Why? Well my 360's CD drive was kicking the bucket and when I realized the only game i play on console right now was GTA and the announcement for the PS4 and Xbox one GTA5 release came out. I figured i might as well go all or nothing, rather than waste money on another 360.

I'm not doubting that at all, your information is true; I was just stating that 400$ is still a fair chunk of money for anything that is in the "non-essential entertainment" category and a lot of people prefer to wait for it to get cheaper.

Mostly because I loved gta o for all the fun to be had with cars, but it was the only thing keeping me using my 360. Then I started into the new Forzas for my automotive experience. The extra freedom in Gta just barely warrants me switching consoles back and forth and taking a graphical downgrade. By upgrading to the new V I can totally move on from the 360 and start trading it all in for some money back towards future games. All the new stuff is just a bonus and all I really have hopes for otherwise is just thatOnline will be less buggy

i set a few "will purchase PS4 + GTA if these criteria are met..." and so far it has achieved none 'em.

sorry, i meant: i'm imagining playing GTA online on a PS4 console.

 

what do i want?

more populated mansions/homes (30+ npc parties @ vinewood mansions)

npc population relative to day/night cycles (I.E. more npc presence on in-game Fri-Sat nights)

something else to do..? i've done all the rockstar generated content there is.

there's a huge list but these are the easiest to accomplish
