V PC to use Denuvo DRM

Russian Mafia

Recommended Posts

Hi guys got some news for PC players.

Rockstar will use new DRM system in GTA 5 for PC. This system is Denuvo, which also used in FIFA 15 and Lords of the Fallen.

This System uses special code which changes every time so this DRM is still not hacked, and I think it wont be.

No more piracy on PC and only way you can play GTA 5 its Steam.

Got this info today. Also today Denuvo updated partners on their site. Rockstar now here too. So its confirmed.

I think it is good they fight piracy, but Denuvo is very hard DRM and some people can have crashes or another issues like in Lords of the Fallen.

What are you think?

Lords of The Fallen and FIFA 15 are both cracked.

Nope. Those cracks are scam or false key generators.

This news is making me rethink whether I should go for GTA V PC version at the launch or not  always have been a loyal fan to this series but after the debacle of GFWL with that of GTA IV & how R* treated PC community this time again by making us long to wait for the game to play  my hype is not up to that level anymore  so if its real, I may first wait a bit more by keeping an eye on how the game performs with this DRM :miranda: if result is OK then only R* will be able to get money out of my pocket :beerhat:

This goes out to all PC digital buyers:

do NOT pre-order digital games.

The concept of pre-ordering implies that there is concern over supply on launch day and you wish to reserve your copy for when it comes out. This absolutely does not matter online. There is essentially an infinite amount of copies available on the digital platforms thus making pre-ordering digital the most retarded thing ever. What is the pre-order incentive for GTA V? In-game money, the f*cking objective of the game? Stupidest sh*t ever. Don't pre-order this crap and wait until the game is already out and reported on heavily before buying it.

And even then I recommend people shop around on sites like GMG and G2A for cheap keys instead of giving these DRM-loving assholes $60 for a digital f*cking game that is almost 1.5 years old.

Not seeing this as any piracy measures but more like Modding ≠ Online...

Modding the game means staying away from GTAO (Shark cards, rolling in cash) and that's something R will not allow to happen, just another cheap ass move by R,as always.

they are actually begging for it to be pirated if they would be using this crap.

Jesus. No mods eh? I'm sure R* is smart enough to realize mods keep their games alive.

And they're smart enough to know that mods will kill their money machine (GTAO),your saying this as if they would make more income by allowing mods rather than GTAO.

They should separate SP and Online because of this. Or only allow protection for Online.

Nothing stops them from adapting a system specific to GTA Online. Instead of everyone causing chaos, we can all just wait and see, because speculation will just hurt everyone.

Yes, seperate the .EXE of SP and GTAO or bust! WTF does GTA means without modding??? In what f*cking universe is it normal to keep GTA unmodded??

GTA mods have been there since I found out my dick grew hair and balls (GTA III)

Then GTAVC came and it got modded and then GTA SA. All those GTA games maybe old but damn, I've never known the modding is very huge,

especially GTA SA wit its over 10.000 carmods on GTAInside! Ten-f*cking-thousands!

GTAIV also has a very big modding and carmods for GTAIV are over four-f*cking-thousands! And that game is only 5 years old!

Modding keeps games alive, thriving and popular.

I really really want to run to the store to grab a copy of GTAV PC on release date but because of this bullsh*t, I gotta to see first if this CurseRM sh*t is true.

I like the idea but I don't see this happening since R* praises that seemless transition from SP to Online.

This is a disgrace!!! This is actually Rockstar showing middle-finger to people who are going to buy the games for legit!! Low-end to MId-range PC users need to worry more about PERFORMANCE!! This Denuvo thing uses lots of CPU and Ram resource and eventually makes game to run slower. Also the game folder is locked and there is no way, you can tamper the in-game files. Which means, NO MODS! f*ck!!

As for piracy, GTA 5 is THE highly anticipated PC game ever. Every people from every corner of the world will like to play that game. Even 12-year olds(IKR?). This will lead to the Unity of PC game hackers like Skidrow,Reloaded and 3DM. They will work their arse off day and night to crack it and eventually bypass the DRM. So, Rockstar just led more misery to themselves.

The last sting they are going to give to the PC gamers is "Rockstar pairing with NVIDIA gameworks". And that means a sh*tty optimization of the game.

All those hype. The FPV trailer, the graphics comparison and now this? I am really sad. :(

DRMs are only worthy to annoy who buys original games because someone will manage to crack it within days and play it as it's meant to be played, without requiring internet connection bullsh*t. Now I'm in doubt if I'll pay to be annoyed by a stupid DRM while pirate users plays the game as it's meant to be played. This sh*t will be the new GFWL and it can make the game unmoddable.

R* showing to us, the PC community, their hate and their middle finger again.

EDIT: To they do the last blow against us, they only need to say that GTA V PC will be powered by NVADIA

NVADIA FUDIDA SEM CUSPE E COM AREIA

At last: GFWL has some cool cheevos and i loved having the two GTA IV 100%(and GTA V) in my gamertag

I love your avatar.

But I wonder if they're telling the truth, or if they're lying since, R* does that all the time.

Is it just me or is the Denuvo website down?

Yep, it's down

PLOT TWIST: The site comes back up and the R* logo is gone!

That'd be some stealthy damage control sh*t, if it actually happened.

I WANT TO BELIEVE

In the far off future when GTAO is ready to be a standalone product, I could see them separating them. But in 2015 with GTA V being important? Nope. They're gonna be one running process. It is just too counter-intuitive to add an unnecessary hiccup to their beautiful character switch system and interrupt the flow of it. All for what? So people can mod a game? You really think Rockstar gives a f*ck to facilitate modders? If the fact that every single patch to every single GTA game to date broke modding each and every single time, doesn't clue people in to Rockstar's concern about modding, then I don't know what it would take.

The site is just blank for me. Anyone else?

Maybe they're removing the R* logo? :p

100% unlikely.

I think it could be possible, actually. They know that people don't like this sh*t. By removing it some people won't know it will use Denuvo.
