V PC to use Denuvo DRM

Russian Mafia

Recommended Posts

Denuvo will slowdown V, so as SecuRom did with IV, so as the GOG version's DRM of The Withcer 2. CD Projekt Red even admitted that the DRM they used was slowing down the game. I would like to officially say thank you to every cracker on this planet for ruining my gaming experience.

Well they release the PC version later.

Why?

  1. They don't trust the DRM and think pirates will ruin console sales
  2. It looks much better on PC and they want few people to buy it for a litte more money
  3. They have something big enough to make people trippe dip
  4. They really need more time for development

I would say that 2, 3 and 4 are unlikely.

So maybe they don't trust this "uncrackable DRM" at all ;)

You would think that in the year 2014, going into 2015, all developers would understand the benefits of Steam and it's DRM policies. Why not use the VAC system for GTA Online? Works well enough in things like Counter Strike.

People will still be able to break it, I believe.

I WILL get my car mods, ENB mods, Simple Native Trainers, etc. Rockstar.

GG Rockstar. you tried.

we dont give a f*ck about piracy

they might adding worst and slowest security system ever was into masterpiece

it will be brake all the game btw

Lords of the Fallen and Fifa 15 who both use Denuvo remain uncracked.

Look, I don't have a problem with buying GTAV PC, I'll happily buy it on the first official release date

but if it turns out GTAV will no longer have modding and no simple native trainer by sjaak, then f*ck no. I'll leave GTAV then.

i hate that they're trying to stolen our pc experience and fun!

I've been waiting for GTAV for years and want it so bad with mods and trainers. Untill I see this bullsh*t.

If this turns out to be really true, then R* can seriously f*ck themselves.

Fixed.

Earlier the past days I was f*cking happy with those new videos and features such as detailed interiors and FPS view

but when I read this bullsh*t, I'm f*cking mad R* can pull off such a dirty trick to disable modding and trainers!

WHAT THE F*CK is R* doing, man?! F*CK!

The only two things that scare me about Denuvo are the eventual performance hit and the mod block.

I'm curious. Does anybody here have FIFA 15, or Lords of the Fallen?

I have FIFA 15. And it doesn't make any trouble. You don't even notice that it's there.

If we get these sh*tty DRMS it's not R*'s fault but of the guys who crack games and those who support these cracks.

no, it'll be R*'s fault for spitting at our faces and selling the f*cking game for the f*cking third time for the full price after almost 2 years releasing it to their precious consoles.

That's a completly different subject, and in that case it definitely is R* fault but in regards to DRM it isn't.

Err... more or less, more or less..

If this cursRM be confirmed to V, I'll wait some people buy it to see if it has some kind of bug caused by the cancer called DRM

Denubola is a given. I only hope it doesn't block mods, because I have so many ideas that I would like to pull off.

unless the utility will be sealed for GTAO only.

I would rather believe that. Rockstar may be "this" or "that" but they know the modding community brings games to life. They've featured mods on the newswire and have praised them before, but have (obviously) despised online mods. I'm inclined to believe this extremely advanced system will be applied to Online, not really as heavily to SP.

You know, there's only 3 cancers of gaming. Elitism/fanboyism, crackers/pirates, and DRM. Cracking software are bad, but implementing a strict DRM barely helped at all.

I simply hope steam downloads aren't the only way to get the game.

Is that even possible? I assume Online and V uses the same executable, since there's a seamless integration and switch between them. Unless they do "DRM when necessary".

You will definitely need steam, even for the retail version. Ash knew/predicted it.

DRM is never a solution, it's the problem.

This is definitely not the way it should be done.

It may be possible. Perhaps they won't use the same executable after all for that reason. I just can't see Rockstar ruining a whole modding community, but I can see them doing everything they can to keep it on Single Player.

Here's the thing about the whole "it'll only prevent mods for online" notion:

GTA V and GTA O are both tightly knitted together as one running program. There is no GTAO only exe, and there is no GTA V single player only exe. You launch them both as one and the same.

The world data cannot be split into two. You are still using the same world as you are in single player as you are online. Modifying the single player will directly affect the online.

It seriously looks bad for modding GTA V in the future. Not good.

Exactly one stopped piracy does not equal one sale gained.
