DaRkL3AD3R
If this DRM wastes precious CPU cycles just to let Rockstar know I paid them their f*cking money then I will likely crack my own paid copy of the game. DRM hurts the customers and doesn't do sh*t for the publishers. People will crack games no matter how hard it is. Sometimes the harder it is the more enticing it is for hackers because of the challenge. This is going to be bad for all involved. Kinda heated now. fefenc

Njale
Only thing DRM does is hurt the people that actually buy the game, 99% of people that pirate it didn't have any intention of buying it in the first place, you can't win customers by doing this you can only lose them. Snorlax
You can read more info here http://megagames.com/news/new-drm-denuvo-challenges-game-crackers Dont think it will destroy mods, its just good system for checking your license, but I'm really worry about crashes and it will be -fps for low end systems. Also game maybe won't start with out internet connection. I hope Rockstar will do their best for optimise this DRM for all Steam users. the internet connection to play is the thing that worries me the most. i'm not going to have an internet connection for a while starting next year, so i'm pretty munch f*cked if that turns out to be the case. Silent
I'm not gonna be surprised if they go the EFLC way, which initially had some files encrypted (afaik), then got them cracked by modders (Alex Blade?) and then the next patch changed them to be decrypted out of the box. MythAlex
Guys, who is Russian Mafia? I don't get it. Also, >'anti-tamper'enjoy no script hooks, engine improvements, ENB, and so on, it's even worse than CEG What is "anti-tamper" ? And how are you so sure the game won't be modable? Well, I guess we'll just have to wait until it releases to see how it works. what the hell happened to Ash anyways? why was he banned? Ash got banned for some weeks for arguing against GTA V employees and Steam fanboys on this thread like I always do when I see R* doing something stupid against us, PC gamers. But Ash has gone further than me, he's made a wall text telling every single stupid R*/Steam fanboy from this thread to go f*ck themselves, to suck a clucking bell, to jump from a tower, etc. After this incident, some admin has put him out of his misery for some weeks. I'll miss his bitching and fighting through this forums Ash was 100% right, after the PC delay disaster, this thread turned to be all about telling how much testers are online on the steam page and spreading rumors about a december release date that will never happen. VIPΣR
I recommend you to read this regarding the new DRM: http://megagames.com/news/new-drm-denuvo-challenges-game-crackers Denuvo might ruin our experience. Ash probably knew this. I'm not sure if mods will even work with this new DRM bullsh*t. Edited November 6, 2014 by VIPΣR fefenc

I mean GTA V with out mods? leave it on consoles. I'm 146918x more hyped for NTA's ViIV than R* sh*tty GTA V and Online; I wanna play the f*cking game on the every way I desire to play it, I want freedom. R* is showing to us, PC gamers, their middle finger in some uncountable ways. As I told before, the final strike would be the game being powered by nvadia. Silent
I guess separate EXEs for SP and GTAO could potentially solve the issue (with only one of them being sealed) but I doubt it'd happen as there's a seamless GTAV GTAO transistion But then again, crackers could easily crack singleplayer. And that's a main reason they'd go for DRM. Edited November 6, 2014 by Silent BS_BlackScout and Agem
NTAuthority
WHAT IF IT'S JUST THAT THEY'VE WORKED WITH R* IN THE PAST AS R* HAS USED SECUROM BEFORE AND THIS IS BASICALLY SECUROM RENAMED i sure hope so, and that they didn't pick this (sadly gameshield doesn't support amd64, it seems nice to modders ) Edited November 6, 2014 by NTAuthority Silent, lpgunit and Zer0w5 3 Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. BunnyBoy21
I highly doubt this is the end of modding. In fact I recall R* praising some of the mods and modders out there for some of the insane stuff they did. I doubt they would do that to us, they know a reason we like PC is because of mods.
