Evan-KCR
DRMs sometimes can ruin games, but I don't really think why Denuvo is considered worse than any other DRM and that GTA V will be horrible just because of this particular DRM. If anyone can explain this to me - please, do it. I own FIFA 15, which has Denuvo according to earlier post. Assuming that GTA V will have Denuvo (which may not be true), that's why I don't think that's a problem: 1. The game doesn't require internet connection, which was incorectly mentioned in earlier posts. 2. I didn't have any problems to run it and I don't know anybody who had problems because of DRM. 3. AFAIK it IS possible to mod FIFA 15. 4. It hasn't been cracked yet, which is a success compared to actually any other DRM. Well, that's good to know. Thanks for the info. I hope the same will apply to GTAV, a mod restriction and performance hit due to this DRM would ruin everything.

Cedimedi
Actually, an Anti-Mod is very good. But it should be online only. GTA IV MP on PC was a f*cking mess. Nearly everyone was cheating with NativeTrainer and crashing servers with spawning 10000 skateboard ramps. Thats the only good side of a DRM tho _Klebitz_
SilverRST
FIFA 15 having Deviluvo DRM, that sh*tty game is way too light. it doesn't need a high-end system really and therefore it can't cause performance issies. Lord of the Sh*theads require a good PC and therefore, Deviluvo bombed that game with performance issies. However, I only want GTAV. F*ck FIFA 15, f*ck Lord of the Sh*theads and f*ck all other games. BlackNoise
I'm not very worried, Rockstar has praised and featured single player mods before. Barely. R* only seems to care when it makes their game look really good visually. They don't seem to actually care about the modding community. They just like really pretty images/videos of their game. That's just my opinion based on what I've seen from them about mods. People sometimes say nice things about R* and mods, but R* could actually release tools, or even just have a place to showcase the mods. It's not like R* is one of those developers who doesn't have a huge community with a club dedicated to that community. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/18541/zombie-invasion-mod-for-gtaiv-pc.html Again, barely. That qualifies for what I was talking about anyways. I'm not saying they don't show off any mods. I'm just saying they're only focused on mods that make GTA IV look more pretty. I'm not even saying anything is wrong with that, but showcasing 2-3 mods since the release of GTA IV definitely isn't anything special IMO. And to R*, it's just one of the mods that happens to be using ICEnhancer. Maybe it's just my opinion, but it just seems more focused on "look how pretty our game looks". They'll showcase ICEnhancer, because it makes their work look prettier. That's all I was saying. They could do more, especially considering how their site is set up. 2(maybe 3) mods in 5+ years isn't something that needs much debating. Looks like fans are getting quite creative out there with fun new mods using the recently released fan-created ICEnhancer tools for GTAIV PC..Among some of the cool ones we’ve seen, this particular mod pits Niko against waves of bloodthirsty undead throughout the streets of Liberty. Proving that modern-day firepower can do the job at least as well as Marston’s blunderbuss and holy water.

gamerzworld
what is "ceg" >'anti-tamper' enjoy no script hooks, engine improvements, ENB, and so on, it's even worse than CEG http://www.steampowered.com/steamworks/publishingservices.php The Denuvo website has been blank for at least 15 hours now. I do question some of the "partners" they listed - perhaps part of the reason it's blanked out right now. The logo they had for Microsoft used the older style "Microsoft" lettering with a heavily tilted old-style Windows logo at the top. Ford is listed for some reason despite there being nothing I can think of from Ford that would use DRM like this. Take-Two is listed, yet nothing is developed/published under the T2 banner - it's always either under 2K or Rockstar. Seems odd to say the company T2 uses it, then have a separate listing for just one label in it.
DaRkL3AD3R
I really don't think DRM can prevent modding in single player. And I don't think they can fully prevent modding in online (as much as I wish it could.) I am certain that DRM or not people will crack the modding situation and move on. My concern is having a bare bones install on Steam for playing the vanilla game, and having this stupid DRM take away precious performance from my game and having it run in the background all the time. That sh*t is what worries me and pisses me off. I really don't believe modding is fully threatened by this software.

The good part: we can play with mods The bad part: the game will be pirated & hackers will ruin GTA Online @Bad part: except horrible drm like securom and GFWL WAS the reason people pirated, so this should actually make there be less piraters in theory (as for hackers, all that stuff is hosted on rockstars cloud servers, so for people to hack money in gta online they'd have to hack into the rockstar cloud server's)
