Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that the original sticky notes from 14 years ago are still in good condition? Either they're replications (an awfully odd thing to replicate) or something's fishy.

what if the devs just rewrote the stickies? ill doubt that they will fake "dev stickies" just to fool modmakers at gtagarage... except Melted did work for R* and told them to

With any kind of art that is part of a large touring exhibition such as this (or even just standard stationary exhibitions at any local museum), there are protocols and procedures in place to ensure that the pieces stay as close to their original condition as possible. This board, and every other item on display at the exhibition is a piece of art, much like any historical painting you would see at any museum, so they are treated as such.

 

I'm sure it receives adequate maintenance when needed. We wouldn't have preserved all the many paintings and art pieces from the past if we didn't have successful methods of preservation!

I ain't too sure as to why are the notes so clean and all, but I think that maybe after the development they kept these notes in the archives in case they would have to fix something or re-work an element in the game, and when the Game-On show organizers contacted Rockstar they gave the game's development notes to the expo.

Those sticky notes are re-written, I've showed you even examples with old pictures from exhibition. Seems like nobody cared to see this :/

And even if they are rewritten, who would remember a mission that possibly never made it into the game from 14 years ago? I dunno, but stuff just smells like it was made up just for the exhibit.

R* Games > R* North > War Drum Studios > All together f*cking up the port mobile versions.

That's a mystery. Maybe War Drum was experimenting with radar colors? Or they thought about reverting to blue radar? Either way, it seems like War Drum eventually settled on the final dark yellow radar in order to make the mobile port faithful to the original PS2/PC version.

 

Speaking of mobile version, I don't think that this stuff isn't just about simple radar change. If it was, then why the mobile ports would include some of the cut multiplayer maps and early source code(on iOS version)?

I found something that would certainly be in the favor of the theory that the original build of the mobile version was based on a pre-release build of III.

Definitely yes. Leaked SC files are a good starting point, since they contain scrapped/changed objectives(like those 2 extra cars that were planned to stolen in the "Grand Theft Auto" mission). Here are the two of those SC codes for your viewing pleasure:

The first MC does have a beta GTA 3 artstyle, but I doubt any of the textures originate from an early build of 3.

Trust me, i've put hours and hours into that game and extracted/messed with the assets from it numerous times.

Basically every one of those textures is used in the final except for the yellow signs, those are white in the final. The game just uses a similar art style, nothing more.
