I kind get over how weird that building looks. Especially how 95% of the building is made out of one, glass, texture. And even the glass itself looks odd.

And let's not even start on how they used a brick wall texture on the ground (not saying its not possible, it just looks out of place)

 

Good start though, proportions are slightly off, but close. Also I think the 'ledges' are silhouette as well, you should look into modeling that.

 

I've seen buildings like that, made out of glass in real life. What I don't get is how the glass is transparent so you can clearly see inside, and lo and behold - there's no supports, interior walls, etc. I can imagine it was, at one point in time, supposed to be accessible given how the doors appear to look open, but that's just my guess.

 

Thanks, though. I wasn't trying to go for a 100% legit recreation though, like the design of the arched roof and the lack of the oddly-sloped part of the structure you can vaguely make out behind it. And the ledges are actually modeled on, assuming we're meaning the same things.

And the support bars between the glass is modeled as well by the looks of it. All depens on how close you want it to tb to the 'original'.

Ah yeah, I know what you're talking about. I'll get around to doing them once I un-tire up. Those do look pretty essential aswell, seeing as they'd pretty much be one of the only things holding up the windows and supporting them and the like.

 

As far as the architectural style goes, it looks pretty modernist with all the glass and yeah, Bedford Point would be a pretty good place for it, either there or the general south Staunton area.

Since you were talking about maybe giving the Hotring Racers a civilian life for once, I got to thinking about the real vehicles they were based off of and what kinda performance model they had at that point in time.

 

Like the Hotring B is the Regal, so it would be rad I think if we saw it as maybe a Turbo T Regal?

 

You already did the Hotring A, so that's taken care of

 

The actual Hotring looks like a mix of the late 80's, early 90's Stock Cars which were Monte Carlos and Thunderbirds. I'm more of a Ford guy than a GM guy so I think it would be bitchin' if we saw the Hotring as maybe like, a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe?

I was about to make Hotring B into a Regal, but then realized that the Majestic was already a Regal, so it'd be redundant to remake something that's already there. As far as the actual hotring goes, I could guess around and try to make something out of it again.

You could make the Hotring B into a GNX? Even though the Majestic is still a Regal, the Hotring B is kindov a performance variant of it (at least the way I see it.) I mean, worst comes to worst you could always make the Hotring B into a Monte Carlo by putting the Hotring front on it.

It makes sense sorta kinda, seeing as Buick & Vauxhall are both part of General Motors. They tend to do that a lot. And speaking of...

Have you thought about just putting the bobcat bed on the benson to make it look like an older '70's Ford Ranger?

 

 

Or even putting the Benson front on the Rancher to make an older Bronco?

 

 

I'm a true sucker for 77-79 Ford Trucks. My father may have had 80's Broncos, but the late 70's ones look the best to my mind. The entrance of the Big Bronco era.

The Yardie Lobo was loosely based off the "Glasshouse" early-70's Caprice's. They were called Glasshouses because the middle section of the car was really wide open and had wide windows.

Merry Christmas to you too. I always thought the Lobo was based on a 1976 Chevy Caprice 4-Door hardtop, except that it was a 2-door. See and compare:

On the other hand, the Idaho was a related to it, seeing as it looks like a 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Convertible.

But yeah, sorry I haven't been posting here much lately, real life's been strangling me by the genitals lately, and between that and other stuff, I haven't had much time for 3D stuff other than helping out on III Dark Edition & Christmas Wishes & practicing up IV's formats and trying to get my level of detail up to that point. Would posting things like updates on how models are going be good here as opposed to the releases? I can imagine, seeing as it's 3D and I might end up releasing it. Hell, I might even be able to throw in some release for SA or even IV/V when the time & skill comes.

 

 

That's my latest, just got Luis' Mom's apartment and other stuff into 3Ds and not only it's a good refresher to GimsIV, but also might have something good be able to come out of it. But seriously though, stop sitting around and give III Dark Edition & Christmas Wishes a looking out! They're well worth checking out.

Moving onto IV models? Something nice a brewing. But nothing beats ALMOST610-like SA-esque models.

 

This may be a stupid suggestion as it may have been made by countless people and it may look similar to Tahoma, but I thought of a '90 Premier based off the LVPD Police Car (the 3D Universe Premier is of course a 4th gen Caprice, and the LVPD squad car looks like an older Caprice).
