This makes me wish they would've skipped the 360 and PS3 releases. It could've looked much better graphically.

Ain't that the truth! Good spot!

Maybe we can use two weapons at once. Holding the aim (L2 on ps) and tapping the R1 to pre selected secondary weapon and R2 to main.

If we aint holding the aim, the character will get in cover (or exit).

You can change weapons without the weapon wheel on ps4 via the touchpad. Same for radio stations.

I think I spotted something, a hint at a feature maybe.

In one of the IGN screens it shows an assault rifle and it has a mode of fire switch: single, semi, full. It's on single.

Fire modes confirmed?

@theworldfamous

Its "SAFE, SEMI, FULL"

Your "single" is SAFE, and its set to FULL, not "single".

All we get is a (nevertheless, glorious looking) GTA 5 FPS.

Nothing more.

No new features, no new interiors, no new lands...

So first person is not a new feature?

Neither are new animals and neon underglow?

Throwing grenades while having a weapon out and not selecting them in the weapon wheel is not new either?

Come on.

Anyone notice how they are using GTA IV style radar now? Do you like the IV style, or the old style better? Though the new radar does show things like buildings.

I must say. Rockstar you guys surly have done it. I am so hyped for this next gen release. It is almost like a new game with the first person being added. It completely changes the game play.

People ask me all the time, "Why do you play GTA so much compared to other games?" Well I will tell you why. It is a enormous genre crossing game.

The current gen version of GTA V is all of the above genres in it's open world action adventure.

-Racing (off road, motorcycles, boats, street racing, etc)

-Flight

-Shooter

-Sports (Tennis, Darts, Golf)

-Economy Simulator (With the additional ability to cheat)
-Hunting simulator.

So now comes the next gen version adding first person into the sweet mix. The first person adds a while new experience to the game. I sure hope it convinces people to update to next gen.

When you mix GTA it self, Far Cry, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Tiger Woods Golf, Flight Simulator, Need For Speed, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, Pay Day (when ever they add heists), etc, you get GTA V on next gen. Why play those as much as GTA when I can seamlessly transition between them in GTA? (Though I would still play some of them. Some of the genres I don't like, but when they are mixed with everything else, I like them too.)

The game was amazing on last gen and the additions really make it worth while playing again. I am very impressed with the graphics, and first person. I will say though, for last gen players, first person wouldn't be the same if it was on the last gen version, and to get the true experience, you got to play it on the next gen/PC version. I can't f*cking wait to play GTA V on PC with the Oculus Rift. I sure hope someone makes a mod so we can use the PS4 controller with all of its features, and maybe then some. Would be cool if the light bar illuminated white when the flash light on your weapon is on, kinda like in Destiny.

Edit: One thing that I don't like about the first person view that they should fix. I noticed that the reflection in the side view and rear view mirrors doesn't look that good. It isn't clear. Would be nice to see stuff through them. See the flashing lights in the rear view mirror get smaller as you leave them in the dust.

Likely, I don't think that would be in the game right now

Likely, I don't think that would be a screen shot if it wasn't. Except it is currently set to... safety? Unless semi is burst and the other fire mode is single like Battlefield.

I think this is the most useful thingthey could've put into the game. I really like it.

Because in the trailer they don't switch to a grenade, I think there's gonna be primary and secondary weapon (secondary being the Grenades, sticky bombs, Molotov's, etc.)

For some reason I don't like the new Weapon wheel, doesn't look bad though.

Maybe I'm just used to the last gen one.

If you told me that these were screenshots from the newest CoD or Battlefield game, I would believe you.

It is borderline criminal how good this looks. R* seriously nailed the FPS mode with flying colors.

If they achieved this on a PS4 hardware then on the PC this will look outright fantastic. With more info it seems the new $60 price tag seems justifiable. This isn't just a technical upgrade, they're literally redoing many aspects of the game, but better.

Downright impressed.

Out of curiosity, do you guys think the animations for 3rd person will be any different? For example the way the player holds the gun while not aiming is different. For example, when not aiming, the player holds the pistol pointing down, where as in first person its pointing up.

Also, if the original poses are there in 3rd person, when playing Online, do you think we will be able to tell whether or not a player is playing in 3rd person or 1st person?

It would be nice if Online Free Mode had options like auto aim and perspective being optional. I know it is this way for game modes, but what about free mode.

-Auto Aim: On, Off, Optional, Don't Care

-First Person, Third Person: Always 3rd person, Always 1st person, Optional, Don't Care

Heck, lets throw in some other options too.

-Cops: On, Off, Don't Care

-Traffic and Pedestrians: On, Off, Don't Care

You would set the preferences in the Options menu. That way when creating a session they are applied, and when joining a public match, your paired with players that have the same preferences.

lol so what about those that said "You're crazy, GTA V "NG" is just a port, they hate PC and will just have higher resolution"?

Damn it, even with what I was told about, it's light years away of what I've imagined, they've said it would blowup everything else, and in fact it does. And R* was incredibly smart with this FPS mode, they'll grab a lot of COD players with this too I'm sure. And this is just the visuals. we're still waiting to hear about the new features, but damn I would play the game as it is without anything extra.

Come on INTEL release the SKYLAKE and NVIDIA release GTX 960, if I needed a reason now I have it, the game looks unreal.

PS:

http://cdn.medialib.computerandvideogames.com/screens/dir_3263/image_326396_fit_940.jpg

Is that a dolphin? :panic:

gta v on PS4/XB1 are ports. they're PC ports. unless you're talking about the people what thought the so called "next-gen" version was a simple upscaled version of the last gen game.

i think it looks good, will look even better on PC.
