Getting 4 friends and grabbing the crate in 10-15 minutes isn't worth it, but waiting 4 hours by yourself is?! Lmao, okay.... That just seems weird to me.

5 minutes in a new lobby, crate drop notice 3 hours. Grab buzzard, blow 3 choppers out of the air, get a kick warning for bad behaviour, waypoint drop zone, passive mode, parachute out, land when crate has dropped. Collect crate. Collect shirt. Too easy

They should really announce this stuff on Newswire a day in advance. I didn't find out until 7:00PM. Good thing I was able to get 2 Flash FM shirts for my 2 characters in under an hour. At least this time we won't get the same shirts 20 times in a row like last week. They should stick to the one item per day method from now on.

If three other players on PS3 want to get crates, I'm on right now. Just be prepared to be on for 2-3 hours so all 4 of us get the crates. Username is PSN...I'll start the session once I have 3 people.

ok so tip for everyone, i was in a public lobby with like 4 people and the 10 hour notification came. by the time the crate had dropped i was the only one left in the session. And i picked up the crate and got the t shirt notification but it didnt actually give it to me. 20 minutes later i was in a public lobby with lots of people and got the crate and it actually did show up in my inventory. so i think even if you do get a crate to spawn with only you in the lobby, rockstar has it so you dont actually get the shirt. no way around public lobbies this time it seems.

I definitely hear you but last weekend I picked up two crates in public lobbies and neither time were the shirts in them. I even posted something in the forums about perhaps having to do the event playlist to qualify. People replied that they didn't do the playlists and have the shirts from the crate drops. I went to Invite only and got my shirts there. So maybe it was a glitch for you like it was for me as I got the shirts in later sessions that weekend.

This is the deal...NPC's can still shoot you, but other players can't. What I like to do now is come in a Buzzard while in passive mode, kill the NPC's with the Buzzard missiles and land if I'm first or just parachue as close as I can get if I'm not. When you hit the ground, you can make a run for the crate uncontested, as other players can't kill you and the crates are usually just the package dropping, so no need for a gun.

 

Awesome method to get them, awesome method to piss everyone else going for that crate off...so basically a win-win.

I'm loving this weekend so much already....five straight Deathmatch wins, four straight MVPs, f' yeah. Cant remember the last time i won more than three consecutive DMs thanks to Rockstar always putting my characters with teammates that must be new to the Deathmatch dynamics. Because ive been expected to carry some bad teams.

 

Oh and i made $150,000+ dollars and i have been playing for like 40 minutes.

These teammates so far have been very helpful, lets hope that continues.

After doing trash talk (not, I wasted time buying stickies then got two kills) I spawned smack bang in a green circle in passive. About to move away as I'm not arsed for a pixel t-shirt when the crate appeared, and some guy in a buzzard was speeding towards me. I decided to be a dick and stood next to the crate while he shot rockets at my still passive character, then I nicked the goods when the crate broke. Wow, 3 fireworks =[

I should have paid attention to the writing in bold but I just skimmed the post and nearly died getting the crate especially since I ran to it unarmed then was fumbling to aim, lol, it was a mess but I got the Flash shirt which is what I wanted. Not to bothered about the others but if I get them great.

 

I tried waiting on my own in invite only but I didn't get the notification and I was bored waiting. When I joined a session with crew members I got the notification straight away..

Ummm look at newswire last week and here and then talk and no it's not get better. It's a fact crates are horrible. Some people hate pubic lobbies because the have to deal with idiots/god mode/ bad modders that's one of the reason why people dislike it. Plus when it's 4 shirts like last event and your getting repeats yea do you see there is a problem now.

 

You can be the few who likes to waste a whole weekend session jumping that's no Problem. But for us those who don't want to deal with jackoffs we prefer invite only or better yet the way how it was in the hipster update. Another thing this is lacking is options. If customer doesn't want to fight for a crate customer should have alternatives to get item.

They solved the problem of repeats by having a different shirt on a different day this time. Is that not listening to the community? Or do you choose to see only what supports your argument?

 

I don't know why people are hating on crate drops so much, if you approach it with the right strategy they are NOT hard to get.

 

All told I had my Flash FM shirt within a half hour of logging in today. I'll do the same tomorrow and again Sunday, three shirts and about an hour and a half spent chasing them.

It's not dropping if you're the only person in the lobby. You should add 'Filthy Moe Goon'. He's doing a crate gather.
