Got the last Fever shirt. Was like taking candy from a baby. Crate inbound, shot down a helicopter in my jet, full speed towards the drop zone. Parachuted out and called up Lester to hide from the radar, once I landed I killed off 2 guys and 3 of the AI. They were visible on the radar so it was easy pickings. Crate had still yet to spawn so I had to find a hiding spot so no players could get me. Found a shed and hide inside, once inside the crate spawned and was literally 20m infront of me but I knew if i went out right away the 2 guys before would easily be able to see me, so I waited a couple more seconds. One guy popped out so I shot him in the head and I made a run for it towards the crate. My heart f*cking pounding at over 9000 beats a second at this point. I thought at any second I'm going to get shot, but nope I got there just in time and got the glorious shirt!!

I don't care how many people complain about it being too hard to get a shirt, its f*cking fun to battle out against other players to get them. If you can't get one then you should consider getting some more practice you cry babies

Weird, each time someone starts a gang attack in a session I'm in I get no more special events.

 

Right after my post I managed to grab a crate. next session I entered gave me 10 hour notification. I sat on a mountain top with my buzzard. Got to the docks first, blew up the mercs as I was landing, grabbed the stuff. Someone tried to blow me up just as I left the session.

It's not about "practice." It's the fact that multiple accounts of bullsh*t can occur from trying to get shirts in public lobbies, you just got lucky.

 

First time I went for a Fist shirt in public this guy and I got into a gunfight and he was about to die so he went passive mode then ran and picked up the shirt. Fair? Yeah right. Second time I raced two buzzards for the shirt, got there first and the dropzone was right on top of a gang attack so the AI dropped me immediately, I spawned far away and someone else grabbed the crate. Bullsh*t? Yes.

 

Public lobby nonsense is stupid. Much rather boost crates with the help of my crew.

Yes they do. It's just not a sure bet that a gang attack disrupts the crate drop or not.

 

I've noticed that after the 3 hour mark, for me personally, gang attacks will not f*ck up the drop. But if only the 5 or 10 hour drop notification has appeared, a gang attack will cause the 3 hour one to never appear.

 

All things considered, this was the "best" crate drop event for me. Which isn't saying much. It was still annoying as hell, but at least by having a set schedule of when each item would be in the crates I didn't have to waste any extra time getting duplicates each day.

Got the fever on my sec char.

 

I switched sessions and then it switched me to public session with crate and I was the only one player in this session. That's crazy. Can you believe it?

 

Great weekend.

Got The Fever shirt at 5:30 am Pacific standard time, Played the waiting game a couple times from the 10 hour countdown and was geographically eliminated early or killed at the spot. I was fading fast but a new session repeat streak found me on a 3 Hour countdown, parked inside the hangar at Sandy Shores. When the crate dropped, it was right across the tarmac, I was amazed how close it was. A beautiful huge green circle LOL I killed the mercenaries and collected the crate uncontested and now my hunting is over for today. Had a great time battling it out and earned each crate. I am so glad it's over haha

Was session hopping looking to get the last and final shirt for my second character, joined a random lobby with only four total players in it. Looked at the map and saw the green crate icon was already there just chilling at the top middle of the map with no one near it for miles, called in a helicopter and as I was flying to it I realized two players in the same car were gunning for it also. One realizes I'm going for it too and I can hear him on the chat start saying I better not get the crate or else he'll hack my account and he's serious. They get to the crate a few seconds before I do and his buddy trys to get the crate but can't pick it up, I guess he didn't have them unlocked lol, I land my helicopter on top of them and the crate, jumped out and picked up the crate, I died right after, spawned across the field, took out my rpg and blew their car and helicopter up, went in passive mode air trusted towards them, the hacker is now heated and I hear him telling his friend he's about to hack my account, I instantly switched sessions, checked my inventory and my shirt and money etc was still there, turned off console

It sounds like you dealt with perfectly legitimate competition. Now if someone were using a lag switch or god mode, this might be considered "bullshi*t". Players that use aircraft/off-radar/armor/passive-mode are only using the tools provided by the game. Aka: playing the game.

I've currently collected every "exclusive t-shirt" with the exception of Bounce FM (collected many spec crates last weekend and walked away with only K-DST, KJAH, & K-ROSE).
