This seems like a really great idea!

will we be able to go in other houses and do robbing houses and walk in anytime we want?

like burglary?

We are yet thinking about it but seeing how the mod goes I suppose most likely no. :/

I'm curios tho, if your gonna do robbery outside interiors then it would need to modify almost the entire game houses (LS - SF - LV)

Sure that is. That's a load of work and we can't handle good enough our current objectives as I said earlier.

i say if you do want that, release the main open san andreas project first, and then release the burglary interiors as a side dish if you want to.

That's what we were thinking of actually.

 

Since my team works in such a slow pace I think I'll start learning 3ds max to do the job myself :/

Since we can go inside interiors in the game map, are the mission markers gonna be located inside in specific missions like GTA V?

When you go in the intertior is there flags set to make in intertior zone so it deloads and uses lods when inside intertiors? It be useful as V has that.

One up for this.

 

Also, you should create ped paths to inside the buildings as well. Whether it be for other scripters to make mods adapted to your mod, or for random spawning of peds/people inside some buildings and walking around.

This mod and TTDISA aren't compatible since both uses a different modded main.scm (unless your an advanced scripter and can merge both into one)

They are part of the game map, so I think it's not loaded for all times.

Of course, yes. That's why the project's name is Open San Andreas, not Open Los Santos.

Regarding houses that are locked before some point in the game - we can tie houses' doors to main.scm so they're locked in the period the place is unavailable, just as it happens with girlfriends' doors when they come out or come in their houses.

 

Regarding Madd Dogg's crib. It surely will be added, why shall we pass by it if we even remade beta house in the Vinewood?

We are not (and never were) going to release the mod partially. We will release it once it's done. So yeah, unfortunately for every one who awaits, he would have to wait quite a time for our mod to be finished. But I am certainly hoping this will be totally and inevitably worth it!

Yes, we are aiming to recreate every interior, plus some beta/cut/unused interiors + a little bit of custom stuff (like the celling in Johnson's house, the use of which as of now is a secret).

 

Regarding EnEx - as for full version of Open San Andreas, only burglar sidemission EnEx'es shall remain, BUT [!!] Andre500 said that it is theoretically possible to make randomised respawnable items if we are to make burglary system without EnEx, so we gave it a few thoughts and decided that we might just do practically every interior (which is even more huge work over the game, especially in the field of modelling) in the game and implement original burglary system right within game world zero (maybe with some changes like lockpicking, who knows) as some kind of DLC to the project. No guarantees we'd do that though, maybe if another group of enthusiasts would be found or current team would be eager to do even more massive work.

I actually like this mod! It seems interesting... I have a 2 questions to @Maxandmov about it:

 

1. I'm using modified .scm which makes everything unlocked from begining. I'm enjoy game as I'm only freeroaming around. so I'm wondering if you can make version that have unlocked everything from beginning together with your "Open Interiors"?

2. This question might requires patched exe with hacked limits... Can you include staircase interiors for some of smaller urban buildings accross SA map that leads to building's roof? Now on my mind for Los Santos comes the hospital in Jefferson where you could make custom interior, and to can climb via staircase to its roof (a lots of such interiors are present in GTA IV). Also near to the hospital there is a skyscraper that has large glass sides and visible floors which can be seen from outside and which also have elevators in centre, however the internal floors of that building are non-solid. You could makes these floors solid and with hole on one of the sides where to put staircase that exits on the roof of building. GTA ViceCry 1.8 TC for ViceCity has a several staircase custom interiors added to its map that didn't exist on original VC map. Said skyscaper with visible floors I suggest to have interior is located right next to GlenPark, more precisely, the building is very close to GlenPark's southwest corner.

when they do that whats about the highest Tower in ls ( this one that looks like a Star from upstairs ) than this would be like a pain to go up.

 

 

 

 

ok now i have a question again , whats about the enex markers that bring you up to the roof ( for example the building in SF that have this little roof with this parachute. i hope you now what i mean) that have enex marker to but not for interiors, only for the Transport from ground to roof and bake

1. I didn't think about it, but when it will come closer to release of the mod we will discuss the possibility of such a variation. The thing is, we thought that closing shops from the beginning doesn't really seem to be quite right, though we didn't discuss it too much.
2. I'd love to see an example of what you're offering if you don't mind. The description seems to be interesting but it'd be better for me to see the thing myself.

Yeah, I understood you. I think making lobby and an elevator to the last floor would be fine - that is about Star tower. And regarding this radio tower in SF - we will think about it once we reach it.

We didn't actually reach any of those by now since we're working on small-time interiors like Binco's, ammu-nations etc.

I've attached a two images about my concept, as the staircase is represent by the red lines on the building.

From 1st floor upwards (to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and so on floors up to the roof) staircase is П-like shape between south and north directions, however between the 1st and ground floor staicase is L-like shape (from 1st floor to halfway goes to north, however instead turning back to south, it turns to west and ends the red П that represents entrance door). I put this shape because ground floor is narrower compared to the rest floors with giant glass from 1st floor upwards. About L-shaped starcase between 1st floor (the lowest normal floor with panorama glasses) and ground level I mean it to be to be similar to staircase in Michael's Mansion in Los Santos in GTA V, while П-shaped starcase from 1st up to last floor and roof to be like staircase to the roof in Saint Row police station in GTA V (although it's restricted area, also between 1st and 2nd floor of the police station the staircase is widen compared to rest part of it between 2nd and 4th floor that actually exits to SaintRow police station's roof and the helipad)...

 

Sorry, I've draw the example and explained it like an amateur but couldn't do it better... Although I've always bothered why that skyscraper has visible interior, but R* made it NOT usable by player and at all and can't go inside, WTF?!? In GTA V there is sh*tty thing where more than half of available interiors can't be entered in free roam and they can't be explored at all, probably more than 90% of interiors in GTA V are made by R* to be either accessible only during various missions or are only usable in GTA Online???
