A railgun fires just a formed piece of metal. it's cheap. And IF they do it realistic it will be like a super-heavy-sniper needing long reload times but ridiculous fire power in one shot. And i really like the idea, it's not SciFi as some people said, it's actually very simple technology in terms of the principle. Just moving something with magnets, we can do that since the first electric engine which was invented when ? 185x? It's just increasing the energy. The principle is the same as with floating-magnet-trains, just with more energy and a lot smaller Train (bullet). It's more a near-future-technology. That's not exactly the same weapon. It's not like saying The AK-47 is in BF4 too, so this is what it'll be like. The Rail Gun in video games are pretty much fictional, as the real life Rail Guns are massive & still really prototypes. I think you mean £1060 to get a PC that's actually capable of running a new game at a playable frame rate, but even then, it will become obsolete in a few weeks. That's a cold hard fact. However, one thing that would beat the PS4 for the same price overall is the CPU, and not by a HUGE margin. That's literally all. GPU? NOPE. Not even close. You have to keep in mind of the cost of the motherpoard, PSU and etc. But if you wanna compare the prices of games and the steam sale? There isn't even any competition. Im almost certain it will be op... It will be extremely powerful, it's using magnetic rail tech (or whatever the term is). If they limit the ammo count and make ammo expensive though, it won't be a problem. Something like carrying a max of 10 magnetic bullets and each one costing like $5000 - $10 000 each.
