All I'm saying is. Grand Theft Auto V needs more realism.

Their first mistakes were adding white-wall tires to every available vehicle. Chrome as a primary option. Dollar rims. You don't see that irl. And now, neon will be available to everything.

There's plenty of other games with unrealistic settings such as Saints Row. Grand Theft Auto V stands as a realistic criminal game.

If they added laser guns and jetpacks of course people would use them. But the game would not feel right. It already doesn't.

You're not seeing the point. Given that it's a video game, of course people will do what they can't irl. But people mostly play to kill people, use guns, drive luxury vehicles and participate in races. I'm complicating things, yes. To shorten this in a single quote:

''Neon being restricted to modern sports vehicles would make the game realistic because that's it's intention.''

I know that some of you will disagree with me, but I stand with my opinion.

I've seen all those mods in real life at car shows. I have seen white walls on supercars. I have seen dollar sign rims. I have seen fully chrome cars. I have seen neons on every type of car.

Gta is not going for realism, they are adding a Railgun.

Those are all realistic mods.

I see plenty of stupid rich people in real life doing these "unrealistic" mods you speak of. Guess what? Most peoplease in GTA are stupid and rich.

I see neon underglow on hot rods all the time. It's a way of expressing yourself. If you have a problem with that, fine, don't use it? But you sound like one of the butthurt little kids whining about first person view 'ruining GTA' lmfao. It's neons. Get over it. I'll happily have them on a few of my Rat Loaders, the third oldest vehicle in the game, thanks.

I hope you mean as realistic as the Adder not going top speed with dollar signed rims. So many yolo swaggin tweens would be so fed up if that happened.

Anyway, you do actually see that irl but car enthusiasts will hate you for chroming a Bugatti.

I f*cking love this game but it's not realistic. A human cannot carry 10000 rounds of ammo in his arse.

Since when is the point of GTA to be realistic? Yeah it has crimes that you can commit in real life, but in what world do you live in where you can murder 200 people with a tank that you stole directly from a military base, and evade the cops by hiding in a bush right next to them?

GTA isn't realistic, plain and simple, and it never will be. If people want to put neons and dollar rims on their Pegassi, let them. It's not your car so don't worry about it.

sh*ts almost as bad as the car community in real life lmao

All i'm hoping for in this game is to be able to actually slam cars. So tired of having to do the lowering glitch just to get the look I want.

I'm really hoping that neon underglow will only be available to modern cars. Still...

Launch trailer seems to include a Stallion (or at least one of the classic muscle cars) with neon

Way late. It's a stallion. You really think this forum wouldn't have noticed that within 48 hours? I think it was posted 4-5 pages back.

I wonder if the lightbars or whatever is producing the light can break after a few crashes and then leave only certain parts on... hmm

They used to be actual neon tubes, they would break fairly easily. Nowadays they are long strips of LEDs in tubes, that last much longer. It would be cool if they broke after big jumps and crashes.

That's what I was thinking... I've never seen a LED underglow before, Just mostly the neon tubes. I think the LED are the one that make the car look ugly, but the tubes for some reason make the color look better? imo, idk.

This is true. The neons do look better, as they actually have a glowing effect. The LED type kind of just shine straight at the ground, and don't radiate very well, despite being brighter.

Either way, in game it looks like the neons glow quite well.

Which lead me to believe that they are the tube version, which is what I actually wanted. great! :D

Its actually greatly depends upon how they are fitted. Tragic but I will admit it I had neon and LED lights under one of my tuners I used to own. This was about 14 years ago when it actually was cool lol. Anyway I change from neons to fusion LEDs. Back then LEDs were really expensive but they actually produced a better more even light when tucked under the car and in behind shirtings so you didnt see the tubes. Also as the car was at its legal limit off the ground LEDs took more damage from scraps unlike neons which broke with the slightest touch.

Man they look soo tacky when you can actually see the tubes.

So kinda dumb question, but if I don't pre-order the game, will I miss out on the railgun and all that stuff, or will I miss out on just the 1mill?

As far as I understood. To get the exclusives for the returning players, you just need a social club acct. and completed the first part of the game on solo.

Some people just want to live out their F&F fantasies. I just hope we get some great stickers to slather all over our cars!

Believe it or not some people mod their cars how they want, not because it's the current hot sh*t.

Neons were on cars before F&F and are still being put on cars now.

In your opinion. It's for the same reason ANYONE does ANYTHING to ANY car.

That's the exact reason I want a cyan underglow on my Hakuchou.

IF there are cows or horses on line I hope you can herd them into trucks and let them loose in LS to cause some broken windscreens.

I wouldn't know what we'd need that for

You don't "need" anything in the game. It's just a few more things for fun.
