:/ with an option for 720p 60fps.....no....awww f*ck :(

It is far more noticable between 720p to 1080p then it is between 30fps and 60fps. Having 720p at 60fps would be such a low resolution (depending upon your tv size I must admit) that you wouldnt really get any benefit from the higher frame rate. Also and this I always find funny when people whine about framerates unless you have a screen that is either 60 or 120 hertz you actually dont get the benefit from 60 fps. As most lcds (which are more common than plasma) are in increments of 50s ie 100 or 200 hertz (which is designed for 25fps tv shows and movies but this is actually another topic as its actually 24 frames) you still get motion judder due to the screen and/or video unit in this case the console having to drop frames to convert the frame ratio down to a unit of 50. I see this from one of my spare tvs which is a 100 hertz to my main screen which is a 60" Plasma which is 600hertz ( well actually thats just marketing spec measured from the subpixels as its really just 60hertz) Though when my plasma displays tv or movies at 24 fps then I get motion judder. However games which are at 30fps look soooo smooth.

Anyway sorry long and boring but at the end of the day unless you have the correct screen that matches to what your displaying fps really is just marketing junk that you really dont notice (except when you dip below 30 or really 24)

What about 720 p and 30fps and 1080p and 60fps? Any difference there?

I'm laughing at the PC gamer anit console bandwagon who say FPV is PC Exclusive.

I just laugh at everyone who tries to compare Consoles to PC (or vice versa) and thinks it is any of their Business who plays on what...Particular with the quality of the game shown so far, it will look incredible on all the new platforms.

That would be more noticable. This 60fps stuff I believe has come from PC gaming which I don't know alot about. However my Plasma for example adds frames so its displaying at 60fps anyway. There would be a difference from native 60fps but I cant see it. I actually have to actively select a function to stop it adding frames which I have on for tv and movies so that they display at 24fps (long story but cutting frames seems to produce a better picture for 24fps fotmat then increasing frames)

Anyway this so far off topic and each to their own really. Its just the amount of bitching I have seen about this is just nuts. Theres a youtube clip I saw a while ago with this guy actually in tears and so angry he gets violent because he found out The Crew is 30fps. I mean really its not that important.

The 720p/1080p etc is how hany pixels are in a given area.

30fps/60fps is how often the screen refreshes to display a new image. So 30 times per second over 60 times per second.

Yes and in my opinion a huge difference. The difference is over twice the number of pixels from if my memory serves me correctly 720 is 921,600 pixels and 1080 is 2,073,600 pixels. However the difference depends upon the size of the screen. So my Samsung S5 screen which is 5.1" or somethi g close to that is 1080 however the screen is so small which makes the pixels so small that human eyes actually cant see the different. Ie there is a point at which the human eye is limited to a pixel density. However on say like my 60" Plasma the difference huge. Because the pixels are much larger. This then get further complicated by viewing distance which is why you measure your viewing distance before buying a tv to get the appropiate size screen otherwise if your too close relative to the screen being too large it will look blocky or if you sit too far away relative to a small screen then the pixels are too small to see the difference. This is why some 4k tvs are a joke cos the are so small that the human eye cant see the difference between 1080 and 4k

Right now is the best time to get a new gen console. What is the worst that can happen, you get to play new GTA and be ready for any other great games.

There are a lot of hit games coming out this holiday season, wonder what is the possibility of console shortages over the holiday. I may have to pick one up just in case.

With best buy offering $150 if you trade in a ps3 for the xbox one, you can get it for $199. Might be as cheap as it will get for a while. Worked out pefect for me as i rarely used the ps3 except for blu ray.

Can you only make the GTA Online character progress transfer once?

If I transfer my GTA Online character to the new systems, will I still be able to play with him/her on my PS3 or Xbox 360?

Yes, you will only be able to transfer your character once. After transferring your character to PS4, Xbox One or PC, you can continue playing with him/her on your PS3 or Xbox 360 but the progress you make while playing is not shared to the character you transferred to your new version.

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52337/details-on-exclusive-content-for-returning-gtav-players-on

You can see how it doesn't make any sense though, right? What is stopping me from logging on to a PS4, transferring my character, and then later logging on to an Xbox One and transferring that character again. The original character never leaves the original console, so there has to be some sort of transfer limit embedded into the Social Club. Why that exists is beyond my comprehension. In fact, and excuse my 'french', it's f*cking stupid.

How it is done is they make a copy of your save file, reformat it, and move it to the new server. Chances are they don't have a system to revert back to the old version, or for changing it from one to ps4. Maybe in the future, but not at launch.

At that size you should easily see a difference between 720 and 1080. Have you tried plugging a new gen console into the 720 tv? I did this with my PS4 with my mates old tv and it wouldnt display correctly. I read online its a common problem with the PS4 and tvs that have displays lower than 1080 when connected via a hdmi cable

Nah dont have any playstation ima xbox person xD. But i ask cuz the 720 p tv looks the same when playing games just as the 1080p one when it plays games. I know yhere is a slight difference but they seem to be the same visually for the most part; 0

This is why some 4k tvs are a joke cos the are so small that the human eye cant see the difference between 1080 and 4k

ohhhh i see i see.. cuz i have two big screen tvs one is something like 60 inches the other is like 50 something inches except one does 720 p and the other does 1080p ;D thats why i ask if there would be a difference but i guess with them being so close in size there wont be much of a visual difference ?

At that size you should easily see a difference between 720 and 1080. Have you tried plugging a new gen console into the 720 tv? I did this with my PS4 with my mates old tv and it wouldnt display correctly. Depends on the game. Alot of games on 360 run only in 720p, which is why they would look very similar. It's complex but the 1080p tv basically fills in the blanks.

I might wait until Black Friday to trample some motherf*ckers over an Xbox One...depending on how low the price will be.

The lowest you can find one right now is for $350! The price on Black Friday could fall to $300.

To tell the truth, I wouldn't go out shopping on that day. Too many crazy people.

Yeah I was gonna say this. So gta5 for PS3 and 360 only displays in 720p so there is no difference as the game is still displaying 720 on both screens. Well there is actually a slight downgrade in quality displaying 720 on a 1080 screen due to the method of duplicating the pixels (so to fill the screen up each pixel gets kind of in a simple way stretched over 2 pixels) so that the image/picture displays on the whole screen. But between 720 and 1080 isnt as bad as from 576 (standard definition) to a 1080 tv. This is why some people complained when they first bought HD tvs way back. As the picture was worse than on their old CRTs if they continued to watch Standard Definition.
