I look at it like this I was going to get a PS4 anyway. Of course I would rather have ALL my stuff transfer. That would be great. However I feel like Michigan Muscle. It is what it is. After playing Madden and Fifa 15 on PS3 and now on PS4 the differences are unbelievable and they got me pretty hyped to play GTAV. So I'll get what I get and I won't get upset cuz GTAV on PS4 is gonna be awesome

Am I the only one who doesn't really mind content being exclusive for next gen consoles; if it means they can test and develop gta content instead of releasing a diabolical game like GTA4 and have a lame ass excuse like it was the first time on those consoles; then fine by me.

I am actually surprised to hear that GTAVoclock is still producing new episodes. I thought that was intended to be a [2013] pre-release sort of thing.

 

Either way, they weren't a good source before the release of the last-gen version and sure as sh*t aren't now.

Can you only make the GTA Online character progress transfer once?

If I transfer my GTA Online character to the new systems, will I still be able to play with him/her on my PS3 or Xbox 360?

Yes, you will only be able to transfer your character once. After transferring your character to PS4, Xbox One or PC, you can continue playing with him/her on your PS3 or Xbox 360 but the progress you make while playing is not shared to the character you transferred to your new version.

This makes me happy. I was worried that if i tranfered i wouldn't be able to go back so i was going to start over again on PS4 and keep my PS3 character so i could go and play with my crew mates who will still be on PS3.

 

 

if you missed out on your chance to buy a CE or SE the last time around, we will also make all of that content available for all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to earn and acquire with in-game cash (original SE and CE owners will not have to spend any in-game cash to obtain them, they will automatically be accessible upon upgrade).

I don't have a CE/SE edition but I don't really think this is fair to those who paid the extra $$ for the CE/SE edition only for PS4/XB1 players to get it for free really.

 

They should make it a Paid DLC and charge like $9.99-$19.99 for it.

 

I wonder if the Kraken Sub is going to be like an attack sub where you can fire torpedo at boats and people in the water.

 

When i first heard the word Rail Gun i though it was going to me like an actual rail gun that is attached to a train and if you can hop onto the train you can use the rail gun to target aircraft of fire mortars into the city but it looks like it might be another Shotgun or something.

When i first heard the word Rail Gun i though it was going to me like an actual rail gun that is attached to a train and if you can hop onto the train you can use the rail gun to target aircraft of fire mortars into the city but it looks like it might be another Shotgun or something.

 

 

 

Not familiar with railguns, I see? That's alright, haha Railguns are, well, according to Wikipedia... "A railgun is an electrically powered electromagnetic projectile launcher based on similar principles to the homopolar motor. A railgun comprises a pair of parallel conducting rails, along which a sliding armature is accelerated by the electromagnetic effects of a current that flows down one rail, into the armature and then back along the other rail.^[2]"

 

Basically it's like a rifle that fires the bullet through magnetic currents. It fires the round at an incredible force. If anything, you could compare it more to an incredibly powerful sniper rifle.... One that would normally annihilate helicopters and tanks, so we'll see how strong it gets, hehe~

Of course, the one in GTA is closer to something like... Hmmm... I guess like Halo's, for example? This is a very common design for Railguns in scifi-esque designs. This is because the two beams would be the electromagnetic rails, and the round would travel through the middle, pushed forward by the magnets.

 

Expect it to be inbetween a rocketlauncher and a sniper rifle. Slower to shoot, devastating rounds, may take a second to charge the round. Will most likely annihilate targets, but may come with very little ammo and reloading after each shot. (Like the RPG~)

No i know what a rail gun is but the "Railgun" i was referring to is the WWII Howitzer railguns with an extra long barrel that could shoot rounds about 20m/30km away

I've created an account to inform you guys about the small amount of progress I've made looking into the whole character transfer "Progress = possessions?" question. I have been very interested in an answer to this since R* has been very vague in their wording regarding the subject. So far the only argument I've seen for everything transferring is "Everything is stored on R* social club, so of course all possessions will be transferred." While this is true, this only means that it is possible for them to transfer everything. The real question is, will they let us? Due to the vagueness of their wordings it started to lead me to believe that they wouldn't. So i put myself in the mindset of that they won't be letting us keep our money and possessions and went back and read every article regarding the subject. I read where they mentioned they'd be giving a free garage to each character that transfers (I don't have a link right now but I'm sure somebody else remembers this and can find it).

What that seemed to mean to everyone else is, "OH COOL A THIRD GARAGE!!", but what it said to me is "Since you wont have any of you're apartments, were giving you a free garage". So this left me wanting a real answer, not some of this hopeful speculation that's been going around.

So yesterday I opened a support ticket and asked "When transferring a character from PS3 to PS4, will my character's money,apartments,cars and clothes also be transferred?". I was then referred to this article:

But he didn't, he worked around answering the question the best he could. But still there's the fact that maybe this guy truly doesn't know, or hell, I could have been talking to an automated response this whole time (but I think I've answered back and forth enough times to get past the automated responses and there was an employee signature) Now I wouldn't say this means it's 100% one way or the other, but I would say that this means that it isn't "confirmed" that we will be taking our possessions with us like many of you have so hopefully claimed. After all, why would they let us? This is the perfect way for them to "balance their in game economy" that they were were so upset got destroyed with all the illegitimate money. It would make it so there's no chance of anything bought with illegitimate money making it's way to the new consoles, no Pegasus vehicles, no "Adder bonds", nothing. As of right now, with the information provided,sadly I think all we will be taking with our characters is our rank and stats.

My support ticket is still open so I'm going to keep trying to get an answer, but I see it going the same way that it has been going. Maybe some of you should open your own tickets to see if you hear any differently. After all I'm not doing this to put down those who have pre-ordered and are excited to transfer because I plan to do the same myself. (First couple pages maybe more referred)I love how people are here. They complain consistently about wanting new content and when they see it, they totally start spewing sh*t about it. You guys should be feeling lucky. If it was a different company, they would probably charged for all those free DLC, which would make up the price of next gen GTA V, hell, maybe even more. It's really starting to feel like you people (unless you actually appreciate these free stuff) just get excited for DLC just so you can start complaining.

 

If you wanna save money, Xbox One is shedding fifty bucks starting November, which will save you enough for next gen gta v.

 

OT: Content looks good. I wish I could see the grill on that dukes, see if it is also the yellow stock car.

If not, better be able to level out the suspension.

Probably the (exact?) same thing as the free garage we got in the CE. I got a free garage with it. It's basically a garage other people had to buy for about 25k, it was only two cars. (That garage JUST south of the LSC near the harbor/industrial area)

 

Basically means, if ya start over or need a second garage (....Maybe third?), that one's available for free. Since you guys are getting the other CE stuff as well, maybe they're throwing in that free garage, or something similar?

I was informed on another thread that the article that was from was that leaked Rockstar article that was never release or confirmed. But I still stand by what I've said. There's nothing that's been released that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that we will keep our possessions when we transfer. I'm hoping I'm wrong but I think all that will transfer is rank and stats.

People keep saying money won't probably transfer, but all the while money can be considered a possession too. Money can also be considered part of your stats too.

 

I still think people are getting paranoid over it. Rockstar can only hurt themselves pulling such a move. Sure cash cards will sell, but to take away that was legitimately earned? I'll eat crow if they do indeed wipe our bank accounts.

Mods here are hypocrites. This thread should be moved to the appropriate subsection as ROCKSTAR HAS RELEASED NO INFO REGARDING GTA:ONLINE CONTENT. There is absolutely no guarantee any of this makes it to Online.
