maybe i'm wrong, but your game crashes when you start two player mod in gta united 1.2?

 

You can't share bullet proof vests, can you? The can't fire rockets/sniper issue was probably due to the coders lazyness.

So it isn't possible to fix these issues? The mod would be perfect with these fixed.

 

On Ps2 Version you can't shoot with rocket,sniper etcc... it's thing that dev cuts :\

I think all of you lack "some files" because it works on all of my systems.

I don't think so, could be that it's incompatabible with old CLEO's I'm using 4.1.1.30f. I'm using this because another mod I'm using doesn't work on newer versions.

 

My main issue is that it doesn't seem to care what changes I make in the .ini, it just ignores it completely, turning on beta features never showed me the Cock outfit for Run Around in LS for example. The 2-player missions work, but the changes/additions you made to it don't. This also happened to me and others with Pep Legal's SAAS, not sure what he changed but eventually it did work.

 

Different script.img, main.scm or american.txt could play a role here? I'm using spaceeinstein's all-in-one mod among others. That's the first thing that I thought of in terms of incompatability. Or maybe it just doesn't work on older CLEO's.

I used LSPD for San Andreas w/ this mod..

I've reinstalled CLEO library and then i fixed the problem..

yes i have 1.2 and i have changed the distance in ini file but it still not working but the missions work with no problems maybe someone can upload their cleo folder and stuff maybe if i replace them with other peoples working file it will work sorry for my english

I was able to replicate your problem. I was able to fix it by using modloader. Somebody else in this topic actually had the exact issue and I used their fix.

It does not work. No matter what I do, I put the files as says the post, and when the game starts loading everything and leaves. (If I remove 2 players mod work). Solution?

 

EDIT: I realized the game works if I remove the x360ce and xinput1_3.dll. But without these files I can not play (P1 with keyboard, P2 with joystic) PLS help me

so where the 2-player modes in-game are located at in City United? I can't find 2-player in Liberty City and Vice City

 


would it be possible to have player 1 drives the cars and player 2 drives to other car
and how can I increase distances?

 


United City 1.2 crashed when i start 2-player, any problems please?
I install united city 1.2 and 2-player icons show

I can't try it out at the moment but do you think you could consider adding split screen and removing the stupid distance limit from the PS2 version?

1. I don't think I'm advanced enough to do a split screen and at this point I cannot even answer if that would be possible without heavy bugs.
I think it would require an ASI hook with some directx drawing, not possible in CLEO.

Here is some test that it is possible, it was done on MTA though:


2.The distance limit can be removed very easily since the limit is actually set in the original script by Rockstar to 20 units. It's just like an invisible wall. However, there is a routine that stops the two player game when the players are about 50 units apart. Even if the invisible wall is removed that limit is still active and I tend to think that it is hardcoded in the game. I've tested all two player mods I could find out there and even those who promised to remove all limits had this limit still active. G-side tried to port the original PS2 script and jarjar tried to mod and extend it making his own version different from the original PS2 version but I haven't seen any of the promises to "break limits" become true.

Fascinating is that the routine seems to only check the X and Y distance but not the Z (height) distance. I teleported CJ high in the air using Dannye's USCM and the game wouldn't end. When I used it to teleport CJ into the distance however the game ended suddenly....

I Hope that you finally removed the distance. By the way I had the same issues and sometimes it's fixed and sometimes no..

Is useless because if the second player is farway from the first player, the city will not load solid roads.

so how do i have to remove the distance original in the ini.file i looked in the cleo script using sanny builder and see get_from_the_ini_file and it didn't work when it's connected to the ini.file to hack it

 

Instead of the ini.file I copy the script and paste at the top and finally remove the distance limit but there's no game end distance limit

Also it can be play in DYOM is mission like this one 2-player in missions, all I have to do is to type "player2" cheat

This will be maybe ... crazy xDD But ... Could you add an option to split screen so that the companion is seen on monitor 2?


For example, I connect a monito to my PC with the option to Split Screens, I see my character in the main screen, and my friend sees his character on the screen 2 ... Sounds difficult, VERY difficult):


But not impossible.

This could be the mod of the year xD

There's a game The Warriors released by R* in 2005 for PS2 that have real split screen. Actually it even has setting to automatically enable split screen when players are far away from each other and disable when they're near each other, making a camera the same as in SA coop mode.
