Personally, for the Gator Key's and the Everglades. I strongly believe that they were meant to be a combination of both, rather than two different locations. Maybe they could have done... Airport here, with Everglades below it, not too big, next to a bridge with 4-6 islands connecting the Gator Keys. That's my opinion on the Gator Key's and Everglades.

 Iam no sure if this well help (I edited the image to be much brighter and sharper) and actually you can kind of make out a black spolier on the back

It wasn't in the Cuban Hermes' description, just the stock/regular Hermes

The cuban hermes' description is "It has a flame paintjob what more could you want" or something to that effect, not the stock one. The stock one has the description about the AERIAL SPECTACLE

So this was created by me a few days ago, I sent it to Badger Goodger so he can deliver some input on the way the Gator Keys and the Everglades could have been concepted. 

 

My argument is that in the Alpha stages, extremely early into development, they had intentions to create the Gator Keys and Everglades, and they attempted to implement it into the game. They continued this idea, hence the out of place everglades texture left in game, however ran out of time Mid-Late into the Beta stages, however, rushed it out by attempting to place some textures into the area near the Airport, however came to the realization that they would have to crop down the airport in order to include something like this. So stopped working on it.

 

My evidence is the Everglades Texture left in the game files which still exists, the streak of grass remaining in the southern portion of the Airport, as seen by another Image shown here, and a weird piece of road seen at the Airport that would lead to a garage, however, in the final game. They decided to expand the road into the dock, which isn't used for any missions at all. Which hints that they could have developed the Gator Keys with a bridge located there, with Everglades nearby the Gator Keys.

That is very interesting, thank you for this. I wonder how big it really would have been, I'd imagine maybe all islands (gator keys) plus the everglades somewhere around the size of starfish island in total?

Did you guys know, that originally GTA: Vice City was didn't planned from the very start. Originally after the release of PC version of GTA 3, the development team wanted to make a mission pack for the game, that would add new weapons, vehicles, and missions.

Fun fact about Everglades/swamp area of Vice City - original PS2 version of Flash FM has one more song, Lionel Richie's Running With The Night. During that song, the host, Toni has a voice line, which was also cut on PC - "Welcome back to Flash FM. I'm Toni and this is the number one station in South Florida - from the beach all the way up to the swamps"

 

And I know that Florida in general has swampy areas, but maybe it isn't just a coincidence, that she mentions them?

^ I always thought “swamps” were like the area south of the beach where the lighthouse and all the lush greenery was. Swamps was mentioned on the back cover of all versions tho, wasn’t it?

GTA games always have had implications that the true size of the game world is far greater than what's conveyed in plain sight. Reminder that Shady Acres - an advertised location not present in the game - is said to be a short drive out of town on some pristine wetlands, even though you literally can't drive out of town or explore any such area.

 

Hell, make it Musty Pines as well, which is supposed to overlook Vice City's state of the art sanitation facilities. It's not physically present, but it's there, in the radio ads, to build the game's world.

Missing road on the radar on the second picture (the alleyway you cross after you pass rafael clothes shop) This alley is mistakenly drawn on the radar as a road in the final version, but on the picture it doesn't exist hinting that the idea to add that road came late into development.

The pony van in the mission cannon fodder is black instead of random colour.

The donut shop in little havana (where there is a package inside it) is different(the ground is red and so are the walls).

I am 147% sure that they would have dropped out of them after the kill, like grenades in GTA 3, not used.

Maybe they did drop it in the beta, but what about them driving flatbeds and barracksOl together without a mention of the patriot.(It was a civillian version).
