San Andreas Anniversary Weekend Event

I did my part. I played the sh*tty playlist & I spent countless hours successfully chasing crates (no mean feat considering the Lazer mongoloids who think they've got a divine right to each and every crate that comes in), Yet, like many others, I didn't get the deserved rewards.

 

Anyone who collected 4 + Special's over this weekend should automatically get all 4 shirts credited to their wardrobe. End of.

I got 3 for my guy (no k jah), and 2 for my girl (rose and bounce). To be honest though, I only wanted k-dst for my guy and k-rose for my girl and I got them, as a secondary objective I wanted k-jah for my girl (didn't get it) and k rose for my guy (did get it). Sure the playlist sucked but I got some decent rp from it. I didn't mind the weekend, I spent most of Friday night going around criminal records and going up 22 levels thanks to 5k rp each lap.

Don't care for the shirts anymore I like the logos but they all look... Scruffy when your wearing them

 

Call me cliche but I have to wear a suit these days just because they are the only clothes that look tidy

 

Oh, and more crate drops? F**K that. The 4 I've collected over the week have me no shirts anyway

I got a K-DST shirt for my main character, which was great.

 

For my second character, the only one I actually wanted was K-Rose, but instead got four Bounce FM shirts in a row... which of course, would have to be the one I wanted least.

The "Sweet & Kendl" race was so goddamn boring I had to set it to GTA Race, enable Wanted Level, and let the other players steal street cars to keep them in the playlist.

 

Who the f*ck verifies this bullcrap.

The color change glitch doesn't even stick though if you change clothes, unless I'm doing it wrong or something, found it pretty pointless since it was only temporary for me.

I got it to work my krose is now black. Its only temp. If u change shirts after they will revert back

The playlist kind of sucked. Apart from the fact it took forever to get into, the missions were just terrible. I got put with four other people, meaning the deathmatches were unfair as one team had one less guy. I also happened to be on the smaller team every time with some retard who didn't do anything except get killed.

 

The first deathmatch went on for far too long and was too large for only five players. The match was basically dominated by one team who all got machine guns and took cover on the overhead walkway in the warehouse for the entire match, right next to a machine gun pickup so they basically had infinite ammo. It was impossible to take them out, even when I got one or two of them they just respawned and ran straight back.

 

The motorbike race sucked and was far too long. I was in first place and I missed the jump on to the freeway and couldn't easily get back up because it spawned me too close to the ramp so ended up in last place. But then everyone else died on the big jump off the freeway and I somehow survived first time so I ended up in first place. I remember driving past the airport and wondering when the race was going to finish, it was far too long.

 

The grove street melee deathmatch was pretty terrible, as are all melee deathmatches in V. The hit detection is just too bad, basically the first person to make contact can just keep hitting the other player once he is down. I ended up finding a Sanchez and running people down.

 

The final bloodring race could have been fun if it was a normal race. Instead it was a five lap GTA race. All the other players didn't bother racing and just dicked around with miniguns and sticky bombs, leaving me to complete the race alone whilst being constantly killed. And the laps are far too long, I must have gone around that running track about 100 times.

 

I really don't get what those missions had to do with SA. They basically just made a random mission and mentioned SA or CJ in the title. I can easily think of a couple of better ideas for jobs:

 

A low rider race from Grove street to the Del Perro Pier, using Tornados, Peyotes and Mananas to represent the first low rider race from SA.

 

A deathmatch using guns in grove street, with burnt out cars as cover to represent the SA riots.

 

A monster truck race in the desert to represent the first mission for Mike Torino.

 

A boat race around the docks to represent the Ryder chase.

 

It's not hard to think of missions based on SA but the ones chosen by rockstar were really bad.

Yeah, what most people have said. Ran through the playlist three times; solely for the money and RP. The jobs themselves were a major yawn...am back to Blowup missions if I want infusions of cash and RP.

I just got on one of the bicycles they had and started riding off because it ended up being 2 vs 1 and I had no chance of winning

Got the KRose, Bounce, Kjah in that order. with both my male and female. Then another twenty something crates with my female with bounce, kjah, krose and stil hadn't got the Kdst shirt.

 

So it started out well and became really boring really fast. Luckily i picked up like 90% of the crates that I chased after. So not a lot of missed oppertunities. Now waiting for a bug that gets everyone all the shirts which would make all the boring gamplay of last weekend inane.

 

I hope Rockstar received a sh*tload of complaints and never again puts several collectables in crates at the same time.

Haha yes, i think they should tbf they should be extending every event until they have sorted all issues out and the event runs smoothly until then it should be extended and yes i am missing one shirt, Only shirt that i ever wanted from the crates! K-Jah!! Rest of them i have plenty to make my own clothes shop...

It was based on the mission from San Andreas PS2. The whole point was to try and capture the locations/route used. But I agree it was a kind of boring/too long mashing the pedal button.

It was based on the mission from San Andreas PS2. The whole point was to try and capture the locations/route used. But I agree it was a kind of boring/too long mashing the pedal button.

 

 

But it was mind-numbingly tedious to do. They should have made it a versus mission with two people in a Voodoo and the rest escaping on bikes.

 

The playlist was woeful. If that's the quality they think we deserve, I don't expect much more from these "events". There are much better user created races and deathmatches out there.
