San Andreas Anniversary Weekend Event

All sessions I were in in the last 3 hours where full of crate hunters. Yesterday I got the K-Jah shirt twice without competition. The last one I tried to get 5 minutes ago had 8 players rushing to the crate drop spot with Buzzards and Lazers. At least now there is some real and interesting competition in the free roam.

Three days. Countless hours. Fortune spent on Pegasus delivery, Remove Wanted level, Off Radar...but I finally got my two characters the only shirt I cared about....

K-JAH Radio....reggae music is my favorite music and I had to have the shirts. It was brutal at times battling others for the crates. But sometimes it was better than waiting in the Invite Only and spending hours without a notification, even after doing the Wanted Vehicle, Gang Wars, Armored Cars assignments, sometimes the Special Crate Drop message never came. So with some luck and a lot of patience, i got my shirts and I know some people find it super silly that we are excited over some boring t-shirts but since getting the shirts, the sense of accomplishment is so huge that I want to celebrate by buying a new car or maybe even get my 2nd character a Bifta or Sanchez. So yeah the t-shirts matter in that way, you know, makes you feel good. I know I feel AWESOME after i picked up the crate and saw the KJAH Shirt on the list. Best feeling ever.

'Are we really not getting an extension on the most sought after crates and the most broken system since the Independence Day update? How could one shirt of a fist (wow!) warrant a week long special crate event but a four shirt haul of clothes people actually want to wear last three days?!? Not to mention the duplicate shirts I got over and over and over and over and over (are you getting this?) and over and over and over again. Disappointed.'

 

I'm not the only one, as I can see from here and everywhere else GTA related, that thought this was a very big flop. How half those maps on the playlist actually got verified I will never know. Blood ring was an apt name seen as most of us got royally f.ucked

Im a little ticked off. First time since the game came out that I didnt get all the shirts. Only got KDST and Bounce. I got a hundred bounce shirts. Pure BS. Im upset that I didnt get 2 shirts that I will never wear. LOL. But its not about wearing them. Its about collecting them.

Picked up my third crate, met this dude in a Besra while I was in a Lazer, we flew around a bit, it seems he wanted the crate too, he got to it first but died and I swooped in and took it. I guess he was sour about missing the crate so he tried killing me, I killed him and just my luck, I got the same K-Rose shirt I already had...oh well. 2 more shirts to go I guess...

Damn, I thought you were talking about me being in the Besra, but that couldn't have been me because I killed that asshole in the Lazer.

 

He was trying to shoot me down when it said special crate inbound. I thought I had dodged his most recent missiles, so I paused, and as soon as I unpaused one of the missiles hit me. My Besra was still running and could glide all the way to the crate. I was ahead. This was it. I parachuted right to the crate, ignoring the NPC's. Swooped in, took the crate. Bounce. f*cking Bounce. Ugly ass, crappy radio station Bounce. So then I killed the guy in the Lazer because he parachuted, said something nasty in the mic, and I went in to passive mode so I could air hump him.

I got the K-Rose shirt only. But meh, I found out that doing that bike race on PS3, you could get anywhere between 5500-10000RP if you won it last weekend.

It amazes me how many players have requested radio shirts, R* knows everyone wanted it since it was posted everywhere.

 

They gave it to us with sub-standard mechanics to get lucky (If I could use that word), to gain them.

 

The problem is not with the actual system used (Special crates), but all the bugs that were present. Anyone could have gotten all four shirts quite easily by spending a few hours over the weekend playing.

 

I was only made aware of this event last night when I got home since I wasn't here the whole weekend. I started this morning only on it and managed 9 crates before it closed. That was about 6 hours work. If it hadn't been for the bugs with the randomising these shirts, I would have gotten them all and so would most players who attempted that task.

 

I enjoy the events, they are fun and something different amongst or after an update. R* has done some very good ones in the past I've really enjoyed, but this event was a waste of time for them to develop and us to even play. Really disgrace they actually launched this to begin with. Perhaps I'm just pissed I got 9 duplicates but even the playlist was a waste of time to participate in.

Public lobbies are full of douche-bags starting gang attacks 3 hours before crate drops. Probably just trying to get a plane/heli but fml its annoying.

I got it to work my krose is now black. Its only temp. If u change shirts after they will revert back
