Got the K-Rose shirt, I'm so happy, it's the only one I've really wanted. All that's left is the KDST which I only want to complete the set. I don't care if I don't end up getting it cause not only is the design lame, but I vaguely remember the station.

three of the crates happened to drop when I entered the session so I just went for them, I've only hunted for two that was enough for me. Its a sad way to collect event items and one R* should change then we wouldn't get endless threads on crate drops nor would we get all the bitchin and moaning. If you have spent all weekend chasing crates then I feel for you.

The even is close to the end and I didn`t even get to play the playlist properly. Not only that I get network connection errors ever since Friday. GG R*. The even was a fail. Oh and the times I did get into the playlist it was pretty much dead as nobody was playing. I guess 90% of the community had these issues. On 360 BTW.

I want a KRose or KJah shirt so bad. I have the two I wanted the least.

 

I did get into a session where a special crate spawned but some guy was already near the green circle.

 

I got the 10 hour notification, but not the 5 hour or 3 hour one and the game switched to a Lester target.

 

 

 

With the Victory Fist crate drops a while back I wasted a lot of time in solo sessions waiting around for crates, thinking I wouldn't have much luck competing in public, and when I finally gave up and went into public I had my first crate within 20 minutes. I wondered how I could have wasted so much time thinking it was that hard to do in public mode when a lot of the time it's not.

 

You'd be surprised how little competition there could be in public sessions. I picked up seven crates this weekend, only ONE involved fighting two other players. The rest were a cakewalk.

 

My strategy:

 

1) Set spawn point to Last Location

2) Call your PV so it's on the ground and available to head to the airfield when needed

3) Pick a spot near Sandy Shores airfield

4) Switch sessions until you get a crate drop notification of 5 hours or less, shouldn't take more than a few switches

5) Take a quick glimpse at your map to see if there are many jets or helicopters in the air, if there are Jets you may have to switch again

6) Grab your buzzard and hover high above the map somewhere around the prison, the majority of crates spawn outside of the city

7) Head straight for the green circle and once the crate drops kill the four NPC's with the buzzard

8) Collect

 

I found a lot of time time that just hovering in the center of the map when the crates are close to dropping is enough to send the message that you mean business. A lot of players wait until the last minute to get helicopters or planes and by the time the crate drops you're pretty much there already and a lot of people won't bother trying.

 

The exception to this is Jet pilots, but if there is a crate dropping within 3-5 hours and there are Jets in the air I just switch sessions anyway.

 

Switch sessions a lot, pick your opportunities when you have the least amount of competition in the air (the only competition you need to worry about), and hover at the center of the map where 80% of crates will drop nearby.

 

Tried this strategy but the majority of sessions I get into have nothing going on.

 

Edit: Got another Bounce FM T-shirt...Also just to let you guys know, if you go in the green circle before the crate drops, it won't glitch. I went in the green circle and my most recent Bounce FM crate still dropped. It's not like the beer hat crates where going in the green circle would cause the crate to not drop.

I tried doing the playlist through my phone and must have entered 10 empty Event Playlist lobbies.

So after a freeze, when i loaded back up, i went right to the Event Playlist....after a fuggin eternity of loading screen, i found myself in a FULL EVENT PLAYLIST LOBBY!!!

I was having a good time, the bmx race was a bit long but was having fun....until we get to the Planes Race and the Host suddenly goes motherfuggin insane and they make the race 20 LAPS!!! I was like, he is joking right? Let me check the race map, it must be a short short race or fast planes, He is obviously going backwards to lower the laps, but no, he goes to 20 and starts the race.

 

After one long anus lap, i had to land and message the Host about what a big a-hole he was for ruining the event. Unreal that someone would do that.

Just barely beat someone to a special crate. The crate was dropping at Del Perro Beach and I was at Fort Zancudo. There were two helicopters much closer to the crate drop. By the time I got there, the helicopters were trying to land, and I saw one guy already on the ground. I parachuted out and landed relatively close to the crate. I managed to pick up the crate and shortly after, someone killed me (probably the guy who was on the ground). Then another guy in an Annihilator tried to shoot me but got blown up.

I loved it, I failed soo many times at getting a package, and I'm sure it glitches on me 3 times, saying I had unlocked the Bounce one, but then couldn't find it anywhere?

But I eventually got a K-JAH one

 

The sheer amount of determination and rage caused by getting the boxes, was brilliant. Literally several players parachuting in, landing helicopters, going off the radar, if only every free mode objective was fought for like that!

If there is no extension I guess I'm 3-for-4 on the weekend... K-JAH wasn't meant to be. I'm definitely not alone by the sound of things.

 

Here's how Rockstar needs to handle these crate items when there is more than one:

 

1) Grab crate, unlock "Special Shirt" - Nothing specific

2) Go to a clothes store

3) Use your special shirt unlock to choose whichever of the shirts you want

4) Repeat until you have all four, in the order you want

 

Four crates, full set of shirts.

 

No repeats and no desperate battles going on the last day of the event as people realize they are down to one shirt and time is running out.
