i think it mirrors it ! and then starts them as 2 separate systems, so you keep your xbox 306 stuff as well, and after the transfer they run separately.

Oh. When you transfer it just copies you current state at the time of transfer on the 360 over to xbox one(for example). From there you now have 2 versions of yourself one on the 360 another on the xbox one. All progress from there does not affect the other. So say after the transfer on your 360 character you buy a dump truck, your xbox one character will not have that. Neither affects one another after you transfer. Also you can only transfer once so make sure when you do transfer you do it at the right time lol.
