GTA: San Andreas coming to Xbox 360 w/achievements

So it looks like it is the HD remaster we got. I bit the bullet and bought it anyway. Played it for a couple of hours and it's not as bad as I thought. The only issue I've had is the sound dropping out of a couple of cutscenes. I wasn't sure about the graphics at first, but they grew on me.

 

Something that's troubling me however is the camera. Is there any way to save photos like the original? It keeps a photos taken statistic, but no gallery for photos.

Man, I command you to obtain at least 2 Proof Vehicles in this game. They are the easiest to get and both are AP, completely immune to everything except flipped upside down, it will blow up, like normal vehicles. Een NPC Tanks won't harm them at all. Get the AP Sabre from "Tanker Commander" and ALSO the AP Sadler from the same mission, Tanker Commander. You MUST get the AP Sabre first, because it requires to fail the mission. As for the AP Sadler, it requires to pass the mission. For the Sabre you will need to have a Tractor in your garage close by before the mission. When you start the mission, go get your Tractor, then kill Catalina. Then simply tow it to your garage. When the garage door closes on it, the doors will now be unlocked and it'll be indestructible. For the AP Sadler, just complete the mission, BUT MAKE SURE to kill the "hitmen" following you when you drive the Tanker Truck to it's destination, then just proceed to get "Mission Passed." Then just walk/run on foot to the gas station right next to you and there will be a blue Sadler sitting there. It's AP. Just get in it and drive away to your garage. Simplest vehicle in the game, probably.

 

Also, if you like the Vortex, that hovercraft, you can get the AP Vortex, too. It's one of the last missions in the game when you return to Los Santos, however, I am blanking on the name of the mission now. But it's very easy to get, too. It's also EC (Exclusive Color).

 

Just like you opened me up to GTA IV/TLaD/TBoGT, I am opening you up to Proof and Unique Vehicles!

I don't know if it's been fixed, but looking back at the complaints that Life's A Beach is game breaking I done it before and it was the easiest I remember it being. So much so I thought I was doing sh*t and got a nice surprise when I blitzed the score. Overall it feels easier. The only mission I've failed so far is Sweet's Girl.

 

However some of the audio issues are annoying. What's up with some cars sounding like CJ's tearing through the gearbox multiple times even if you lightly accelerate? That's probably my biggest gripe with this version. Other than that's it's been really fun except I forgot to save last night after completing the pimping missions haha.

Pimping Level 10 was so boring in SA. It's almost like doing Taxi Missions all over. Even the Pimping in VCS was tedious, too...

 

So...Are you gonna get those 2-3 Vehicles or skip them? You gotta know how it feels to drive an AP Vehicle in the 3D Era. It beats any HD stuff. However, my favorite Vehicles are H/DP but H (Heavy) Vehicles can only be saved in LCS/VCS. There is some in VC and SA, too, but the H property is eaten once put into a Garage. LCS/VCS have UH (Unique Handling), WP (Water Proof), TP (Tip Proof), PP (Pop Proof), and H (Heavy). No other 3D Era Game has such properties that can be saved, just LCS/VCS.

I wonder if there's a Unique vehicle Militia HASN'T got.

IDK if you count unobtainable vehicles in V (such as the clown van, Snow cars etc.) Though those aren't obtainable without a save editor or some kind of mod menu.

Plenty. I have 23 Proof Vehicles in SA. fnxrak has 75. jam8tone has 65. Without jam8tone, fnxrak, and 4emp2008's Youtube Guides, I wouldn't have what I have already. I sure have a lot and some of the best ones each GTA Game has to offer but I don't have the maximum aloud Unique Vehicles to be stored in each game. I got 7 in III whereas the max to store is 13. I got 15 in VC, but the max to store is over 30. I got 23 in SA, where the max to store is over 75. I got 12 in LCS and the max is 12. I got 12 in VCS and the max is 12. I got 10 in IV and the max is 10. I got 15 in TLaD and the max is 16. I got 16 in TBoGT and the max is 16. And so far I got 25 in V and the max is 35.

 

Actually, I got the Snow Asea in V. No other Snow Yankton Vehicle is obtainable without the Editor, though. In V, you can get the Snow Asea from Burry the Hatchet. Not on a mission replay, of course, but when you're doing the mission in a new playthrough for the first time. It's obtainable, but only on Version 1.00 of the game on PS3. The PS3's Version is much better for Special Vehicles than any NG Version of V.

 

Clown Van is still unobtainable, though. Of course on Save Editor you can get everything but that's modding. I don't like doing that. Even with the Save Editor you can make the Vehicles AP in V. For V, I got one clean 100% Save and one modded 100% Save. The modded one has AP Vehicles and other ones not normally obtainable and also a lot of Police Vehicles that are fully modded, etc whereas usually police vehicles in V can't be modded...

In the PS3/360 Versions of V the Asea is a Unique Vehicle. Where to get it besides when you finish the 30 Submarine Parts? Nowhere, hence why it's a Unique Vehicle. It can only be obtained one time. However, on the PS4/One Versions of V, the Asea spawns in traffic.

 

PS4/One Version is worse because now there is even LESS Unique Vehicles in the game and of the Special Vehicles in the game, most are unobtainable on PS4/One unlike PS3/360. All the more reason to stay with PS3/360 and not get the Remaster. I don't want that...

^^ THIS. Atleast until they fix all of these damn glitches like audio cut-outs, frame-rate drops, freezing and screen glitching. We got one patch for this game which didnt fix sh*t. The fact that the price was raised to $15.00 is an insult and a rip-off.

 

This broken mess isnt worth $15.00. -_-

Has anyone noticed in most of the cutscenes there always seems to be a couple of birds flying out of shot? When I done Are You Going To San Fierro? they flew out of the barn the Mothership was in. Made me laugh a bit.

 

Also I've noticed a creepy red glow whenever it seems to rain. It looks like the opening to hell.

Not bad! Don't forget the 3 Proof Vehicles. Did you forget or skip them? 2 of the 3 are in the same mission "Tanker Commander." The AP Sabre requires mission failure but the AP Sadler does not. But to get the Sadler, you must kill the hitmen following you to the drop off destination BEFORE you get to the destination for the AP Sadler to be there and able to obtain it. As for the AP/EC Vortex it's in the mission "Cut Throat Business." It's toward the end of the game, when you come back to Los Santos at the end of the game. You need to fail the mission to get it. When you get to that mission, let me know. But it's a simple Vehicle to get, too. Nice that it's land, sea, and air as well. No other Vehicle is like that. The closest is the AP/EC Maverick but you won't have the patience to get that most likely...AP Infernus and AP/EC Maverick are my two favorite Special Vehicles in SA.

Pimping Level 10 was so boring in SA. It's almost like doing Taxi Missions all over. Even the Pimping in VCS was tedious, too...

Wat? Imho the pimping in VCS started off really boring but later it turend into a fun minigame.

It was the same repeated stuff over and over, though. You take a girl somewhere, go get a new girl, pick the last girl up, repeat. You get the occasional pimp that is "hurting" the girl and you must run him over. But it's still more or less the same thing in VCS. In VCS it kept me on the edge of my seat though due to the time limit being a bit lower. I was like 1 second ahead at times, if I was 1 second behind, I would of failed and had to do it all over again.

1. no achievements unlock when i complete the objectives for them

2. radio stations skip through songs. like, each song is only a 30 second clip; i dont think ive gotten but a handful of full songs.

3. every now and again my video pixelates and everything becomes transparent and trippy

1.i actually havent used cheats this time around. the cops arent as sensitive as gta v universe, so i havent had to use unwanted cheats or weapons cheats.

 

2. i was reading in another thread that they ended up removing a bunch of songs from the radio playlists

No idea about the first issue, but no. 2 and 3 are bugs in the game.

Soon, I will be getting an iPhone 6 to upgrade my iPhone 4 and will buy GTA III, VC, and SA for the Cell Phone. For all 3 Games it's 21 Dollars. Pretty cheap and worth it, imo. SA will be fun playing on the Cell Phone on the go and I'll have some exclusive Proof Vehicles like the AP Sultan which is a Vehicle that requires cheats to obtain it on PC, PS2, Xbox, PS3, and Xbox360. No cheats are required on the Cell Phones!

 

Luckily the Cell Phone Version doesn't have the bugs of the Xbox360.

I've experienced most of the glitches present. That texture glitch reported happened to me during a level of the Firefighter missions, 'course I believed it was some new feature I was completely unaware of ... but on a serious note it quickly got annoying.

 

It's not too bad in all honesty, considering it was from mobile port and the revamped graphics are crisp for a ten-year old game, and nostalgia factor counts for at least something. However, I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer if some of the prevalent bugs had been ironed out before release.

I hate to play GTA on mobiles.

Putting aside the touchy controls, the game ( GTA SA ) literally consumes significant amount of battery life. Its not that fun IMO, esp. recharging frequently twice or thrice. It'll eventually wear down the battery life faster.

I am not sure. I mean, I am surely gonna get as much as I can, but re-learning a whole new platform for GTA is gonna take a while to get used to, most likely. It's not the same as playing SA with the PS2 disc on my PS3. If I do SA again and go for ALL the ones I want in the game, it'd be on PS3. SA on Mobile is just for fun, basically. 21 dollars for 3 whole games is worth it, imo.

That's what I was thinking. Mobile I'd imagine drains your battery and also the screen is so small compared to a big sized Smart Flatscreen TV I got for my gaming on PS3. I'll probably just have fun in Mobile SA and not take it too seriously. The Console Game Saves is what I take seriously and go for the best Collection of Special Vehicles I can get.
