Flachbau
http://jalopnik.com/get-your-airbags-fixed-now-if-you-own-one-of-these-cars-1648580104 Β It's been a banner year for recalls. We're now up to 52 million cars recalled so far in 2014 in the U.S., about one in five on the road. One of the scarier defects involves those exploding Takata airbags, so America's auto safety regulator today urged owners to get their cars fixed. The defective Takata airbags wound up in millions of Japanese, German and American cars from the early to mid-2000s. It's a wide range of vehicles, and at least two deaths have been linked to crashes where the airbags exploded, sending shrapnel into the cars' occupants. It's a problem Takata (and Honda, specifically) have know about for a decade, but is just now being acted on. If you got a recall letter in the mail, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urges you to get your car fixed as soon as possible. Luckily, they also released the most comprehensive list of affected cars that I've seen so far. As our friends at Autoblog reported today, Toyota is expanding their airbag-related recalls, and will send letters to owners this week. If you think your car might be involved, go here to check your VIN. LightningLord
I think I'm good. My Civic is the 2000 model, not 2001. Thank goodness. Flachbau

mr quick
That's why I have a Fiat. Unmatched build quality, electrics, and safety. Β not really, it was just dirt cheap Β Inked_666 and Killerdude
Ezza.
Lol, its not just the older cars affected either. Ford recalled all 58 of the current 2015 Mustangs in the US for the exact same reason. Inked_666 and Boblel

Svip
Quite serious too, how is it they've only just discovered this exactly? :S Β They probably got another letter from an owner complaining about how dead he was. Β Still, my car doesn't have airbags, so I should be fine.
