007_eleven
I do hope this game reaches release, just to advocate freedom of creative expression. You don't like it, don't play it. The actual gameplay itself may be mediocre and only last for a few hours of cliché entertainment but that's to be expected from 99% of media. It's no more expensive than going to see a Hollywood action movie with little value, which had the advantage of hundreds of professional producers and millions of dollars being poured into it. Also it's good to see that this forum has anti-SJW members. Anyone want to record a shoot up at Cockatoo's bar in GTA Online just to press some triggers? Ducard
How are Doom and Hatred comparable? In one game, you're killing innocent civilians 'because' and in the other, you're slaughtering Demonic creatures to protect Earth. the difference is Hatred is actually funny, can you imagine someone begging for their lifes and being stabbed to the dead or being shot on the mouth? If you posted this exact statement else where, it would cause more controversy than the game itself. nath22
Context is important in games, and considering shootings in this sort of manner are an actual thing the game is just in poor taste for no reason. Plus it's being made by a selection of scumbags, that doesn't help. fefenc
I hope they put families on the game, I can see the family man begging for their lifes: "Please, don't kill me, I must take care of my little daughter." And our character replying to them: "Don't worry... I'll take care of her..." At the end, we shot him on the head or keep stabbing him to the death: "No no noooo god stop pleeease!", and after that, we kill his whole family. Maaaaaaaaaan I'm hyped for this game, killing in GTA IV isn't the same thing as how it's on this game. I'll preorder it. Tyler
Neo nazi or not, discriminating or not, it's a f*cking game. Chill out. It isn't 'just a game.' How many people here does it take to remind you that capitalism as a system works because you voluntarily spend money to pay people that produce goods, and that money being paid also serves to further the interests of whatever ethical system they might adhere to? This is not a vacuum culture-- your money goes directly to the interests of those you pay it to. With a company like Rockstar that means a team of people who are regulated and paid to produce pretty nice games, for the most part. With a game like Hatred, that means your money is being handed over to people who not only empathize with anti-immigration leagues, but has also been on the record as seen saluting swastikas and listening to and distinctly liking neo-Nazi music. That's not even getting into their membership with the anti-communist parties they're in, or the questionable ethical nature of making a game specifically about killing people to... what, somehow point out some criticism in the industry concerning how we view violence? Good job, you did it in a horrible way, and you did it after Spec Ops, Hotline Miami, Postal, etc. etc. There is nothing about this game that redeems itself from the trailer. I don't understand this mentality that purchasing games like this to "break up the monotony" or "because the developers views don't matter" is valid. You can find much better games within the same genre-- ones that aren't produced by neo-Nazis who you are invariably, unquestionably funding the further interests of, by purchasing it. Anyone who says they will be buying this out of some reactionary idea to aggravate the people who are offended by the marketing and idea of this game are falling not only into the trap of dishonest games marketing (which we would never condone or praise if the game were, say, Call of Duty, or Battlefield), but also the quite-obviously planned methodology behind using flashy and provocative gimmicks to siphon off money from teenagers and use it to fund the developers morally bankrupt ideas about race equality. ten-a-penny, Mr. House and make total destroy
