IDredMan
I love how the protagonist looks like the typical school shooter/spree killer. Long hair, trenchcoat, combat boots, etc. I wonder what made him tick. I might get this if that isometric camera thing is optional though. Wait... Don't you have long hair? fefenc
The original trailer got censored by NYPD due to their logo on the trailer and by Unreal team. I don't f*cking care, I'll preorder it by spending "as many as I can". F*ck the censorship, if the game were about killing arab, chinese or russian soldiers/people, then it would be politically correct for the american people and for the Unreal team aswell.... Input
The controversy is gonna be stupid.. A game about an american killing americans, the media loses their f*cking minds. A game about an american killing any other race, in any other country and no one even flinches. And I for one am gonna play the sh*t out of this, because I'm not an idiot who takes this serious. I disagree with both of these. Those games aren't about an American going around killing innocent arabs/chinese or whatever. I'm not saying those games are positive or commendable...but their context is not "mass murder of innocents". If this were a game about an American mass murdering innocent chinese/arabs/japanese or whatever you can be damn sure the controversy would be equivalent or greater...because racism is now brought into it. HaythamKenway
Remember No Russian? That was an American killing innocent Russians, even when we take out all the context. CoDs and other modern warfare shooters are deeply problematic, but even those games create a lot of fuss when civilians come into play. Right now, a game like Hatred (at least from what I've seen of it so far) brings me back to late 90's/early 00's, back when video game industry used controversial video games to prove its "maturity" and to get the mainstream public talking. But it's 2014. There is no need for those things right now. What we do need is more video games that look at violence more critically and use controversy to create a debate. R*, for example, wasn't completely successful in that regard, but I feel we've come a long way from a schlock like Manhunt, to muddled, but relevant By the Book. The real question is, what will the finished product be. A cr*ppy shooter living off bad press or a meta-commentary on political correctness and moral guardians? If it's the former, the game will be a deplorable waste of time and money. If the latter, it might actually be worth something. Algonquin Assassin
I think it's time we discussed how the game actually looks in the first place, regardless of whether it is too violent or not. To me, the game looks mediocre. I don't like the dark look of the game and I was really surprised at how generic the protagonist and the story is. "I hate humanity, so yeah let's go on a killing spree". It doesn't look like any sort of thought or effort was put into it. Graphics look like a 2009 game. Animations and physics do look like a 2009 game too. So, yeah. I understand this is supposed to be the developer's first game but it looks as though it's main focus is on "violence" which in turn attracts attention and that in turn generates sales regardless of the quality of the game. The game just looks like a generic PS2 shooter. Nothing creative about it all. The developers don't seem to care about making it the most creative game on the market and are only interested in shock value. It's worked so far. Could turn out to be one of those games with a cult following. You never know.

FriendlyPsychopath
We wish to thank all of our haters and all upset press for a great marketing campaign they've done for us. There is one more thing - accusing Hatred to be some kind of racist game. What the hell is wrong with you, people? The Antagonist is killing everyone equally, race doesn't matter (it's randomly generated for all NPC's), sex doesn't matter (it's random too), so you can call it the most tolerant game, promoting equality. Here everybody dies. I know that was going to happen,if people make too much fuss it means something,so eventually the game will be released,i will play it,enjoy it,get bored, and back to gta lol. btw There is no game in the next 10-20 years or so that will be banned, why you ask? here is why v Postal II In 2004, New Zealand banned Postal 2 due to "gross, abhorrent content" (urination, high impact violence, graphic vomiting,Animal cruelty, homophobia, racial/ethnic stereotypes, etc.) and Australia later banned the game due to "excessive abhorrent content". On May 1, 2007, Malaysia banned the game outright due to "very high impact violence & offensive depictions of cruelty". The game is also banned in Germany, France and temporarily banned for sale in Sweden. The games were later legally made available worldwide through x in 2009 and Desura in 2012, and was successfully greenlight on steam later that year. we are not in the '80 anymore ,where everything you do,play or enjoy is satanic or evil tattoos rock long hair

What kind of a retard says that he/she only likes a hate group because of evil sh*t happening the middle east? If you do not know, you don't support anti-islamic groups. That's a first.
