Carlover325
Just a couple of days ago, some lady in a silver 2010ish Toyota Corolla ran a red light outside my work and slammed into the left-rear side of a gray 2001ish Chevy Silverado. Totally destroyed the front of the Corolla. Totally destroyed the bed and rear axle of the pickup, his axle was at an angle that made it look like it had rear-axle steering. He couldn't move his truck out of the intersection. Got all this from eyewitnesses. I heard the accident from inside and only saw the aftermath. Apparently she wasn't paying attention because the witnesses said the light had been red for awhile. Probably texting or something stupid like that. They should make cars so that if you even have your phone on inside of it while it's running and in gear the car sends out an emp pulse that destroys the phone and nothing else. The only way texting and driving could ever really be stopped.

Well theoretically car manufacturers could install some sort of NFC technology that could automatically enable flight mode. Had a moment myself on Friday. Coming off the motorway/highway and some blue Ford Focus cuts across two lanes, across the hatch markings just before the armco(!) and cuts across me, almost making me pit manoeuvre her car. Then she has the cheek to stop in my lane and wait for a space in the next lane. Idiocy of some people.
CarnageRacing00
Come to the US where 95% of drivers are stoned out of their minds 100% of the time and can't be assed to pay attention to ANYTHING other than their f*cking cell phones. Pot and cell phones - the two most important things to Americans. Canadians aren't much different. Maybe the people over 35 are but it's rare to find anyone under that age who isn't stoned 24/7. OT - Recently(within the past few days) I've had at least 10 people stupidly pull out from side streets and cut me off when they can clearly see I'm to close for them to make it without me having to brake for them. They all cut it way to close, especially the 3 or so today since the roads are now snow and ice so I wouldn't be able to stop very well if neccessary. Off topic once again, my tires sure got bald during summer, I can't even press the gas pedal half an inch without spinning on the snow. That's in 2WD though, I don't use 4x4 unless I'm stuck or am going through something I severely risk getting stuck in(which doesn't happen on road), the conditions are absolutely horrible or my passengers complain enough at me to put it in 4x4(aka, don't trust my driving enough). M22
The Toyota celica that pulled right out in front of me without looking nearly causing a 4 car accident and i admit I had a dumb moment in a busy street, I thought a car was going to turn right out in front of me so I slammed on my brakes but that was after the incident of the Mercedes that felt it was ok to pull straight Out in front of me even though he was completely stopped and knew it wasn't a good idea to pull out but he still did it oh well just another week. That has caused so many close calls for me. Its understandable if its a tight cloverleaf ramp, but if its a straight away, speed the f*ck up please. I have seen cars enter the freeway on fairly straight ramps going 35mph, and it just f*cks the flow of traffic so badly. Killerdude
bread
Drove back home from a banquet earlier this evening and I was in a 40mph zone. I was going about 45, typical speed, and I'm getting closer and closer to the driver in front of me. She was literally going 25mph. I went to go pass her, so I went into the right lane. I'm still going 45, but then the light ahead turns yellow so I slow it down a bit. This girl literally floored it, and I'd say she was about 50 or so meters away from the light the moment it turned red. I stopped at the light for about a good 5 seconds and she runs the red. A cop was there and he pulls her over. I shaked my head and that was it. Idiocy. Sigh.

The highway has a 110 speed limit and this car merged on at around 80 in front of me and continued to go 80, I had to brake for them because other vehicles were flying by in the passing lane. I got it on dash cam too, unfortunately my GoPro videos don't seem compatible with my youtube for some reason so I can't upload it. My own unrelated story: I turned onto the highway(110 limit) after a minivan in front of me. They proceeded to go about 70 for a while so I passed after I realized they weren't gonna speed up. about a minute later the same van(it had been in a front end collision so was easily recognizable) flew by me going about 130. A few minutes later the highway merges onto another highway(also with a 110 limit), about 2 minutes on that highway and I come up on this same van going 80 again and driving half on the shoulder of the road. I passed her again and that's the last I saw of her.
Frontzie
Just about to cross the road to get home from work earlier this week, hi-vis vest on and sash on my bag so no reason NOT to see me, green man comes up so I cross. To the left, some moron in a Mk 7 Golf overtakes the car in front of him, who has stopped for the red traffic signal (which was triggered by me pressing the button, evidently) and speeds past me in the middle of the road no more than 5 feet away. Not only am I there, lit up like a Christmas tree, he has the decency to swear at me like I'm in the wrong! The amount of idiotic drivers in England is phenomenal, no clue how he passed his test. Carlover325
So I was in a parking lot and some guy was walking across the parking lot. An idiot driver in front of me didn't want to stop for him and decided to drive by him and almost hit him. The pedestrian yells at the guy driving "what's your problem." Meanwhile, I'm just passing the pedestrian since he was out of the way. Well the idiot driver in front of me is so focused on the pedestrian and wanting to argue, he throws his car in reverse and almost backs up into me. I had to blare my horn to get him to stop before he hit me. I almost wish he had backed into me, then I'd get a pretty newly painted front bumper. Oh well, maybe next idiot.. Svip
The US banning cars that could adjust their height in 1973 killed Citroën in North America. While the ban was lifted in 1989, Citroën was done in North America. This is despite the fact that first non-American car to become Car of the Year by Motor Trend magazine was the Citroën SM in 1973. There was a Dutch company that imported Citroëns for Americans.
Chris Fromage
I have nothing against slow drivers as long as they are not driving dangerously slow and allow you to pass them. However, those slow drivers who speed-up when you try to pass them... Just hate it. But what I hate more are drivers who want to pass the speedlimit, but would rather stick on your ass instead of passing you. Was driving on a 50km/h road (1 lane for each direction) and I was driving about 50km/h, maybe even more. Some guy behind me was driving around the 70km/h until he had to slow down because of me. The following 2 minutes was just honking, lights signals and screaming from behind. Instead of passing me (what was possible because the other lane was pretty much empty), he decided to annoy me with his "uncivilized" driving... I always have the idea: "As long as I am driving according to the rules (including speedlimits), I won't change my way of driving for anyone". If you want to pass me, go ahead. But don't expect me to speed-up because you want to pass the speedlimit... Adriaan

Around here there are trucks with about 2 feet of lift that come to a stop before going over speed bumps. Then there's me in my stock pickup who tries to catch air off of them. I'm hard on my poor truck XD I have nothing against slow drivers as long as they are not driving dangerously slow and allow you to pass them. Seriously, if you want to speed and you can pass then f*cking pass! There's absolutely no need to be a prick and honk at the car in front who isn't even below the speed limit. A few weeks ago I was coming to a stop at a red light with some vehicles already stopped for it in front of me when the jackass behind me lays on his horn. I look in my rearview to see him flipping me off. In no way did I stop too suddenly and it was pretty obvious that there was a red light ahead and vehicles stopped in front of me, did he want me to rear end one of them to make room for his oblivious ass? Dottie
I hate when that happens (it doesnt happen to me of course ). They just ride the slow car's ass until the slower car moves over. and most of the time while observing this, the faster driver has multiple opportunities to pass. but on the otherhand (commonly seen in passing lanes), slower drivers should move over so they wont get tailgated in the first place if possible Edited November 25, 2014 by Winning001

How about you just let them past so they leave and pose a danger to someone else. If there's already plenty of room to pass then "letting them pass" is basically what you're already doing. If they refuse to do so then that's their problem. If anything, going slower makes it more tempting for them to pass instead of being an asshat. I don't care if they end up rear ending me or something, It's them who would be at fault for being agressive. I'm not saying I'd brake check them, that's just stupid, but I'd definitely let of the throttle and let my vehicle lose momentum and slow itself down. And how else would you let them pass if not by going slower to allow them to pass quicker?
