pretty slow here, everyone but me playing FarCry4 or what?

anyway, WIP, still got a long way to go for "Martini Cup" for the RUF RGT8 GT3... I seriously dislike those scaled Project C.A.R.S. templates :S

I'm working so much in the last month it's insane (not posting much) and all the car pics make it kind of boring. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone. Putting some effort into creating scenes and using the video editor really spices things up alot. The other thing I've noticed is that it is impossible to get some motion blurs in the video editor (the same with some DOF) so using FRAPS to record in hi-def captures everything you're seeing while playing - lift frames from that to capture motion blur and real-time effects. Media Player Classic / K-Lite Codec pack is good for that.

I wish I could make some cool scenes but every time i start to shoot a gun, I get texture loss. As soon as a I get 3 stars... BOOM! all the buildings are gone, I'm getting really frustrated with it.

That sucks. Know the feeling. That's why I dumped all my "hi-res" textures way back when. I use:

  • DKT70's 26MB Roads with Paving Marks
  • BisonSales Summer Pack
  • Real Shops 1.8
  • Viva New York - Flashing Lights
  • Real Road Signs
  • Misc Interior Texture Mods
  • No more than 226MB vehicles.img and careful not to put in cars that are more than 3-4MB's individually.
  • Set detail to %100
  • Set View Distance to 34 Max
  • Use this SSAO Setting

    [sSAO_SSIL]

    ApplyAntialiasing=true

    SamplingQuality=0 // Use with ApplyAntialiasing=true

    SamplingRange=0 // Use with ApplyAntialiasing=true

    SizeScale=0.5 // higher = better looking, more defined SSAO effect, but costs a lot of fps.

    SourceTexturesScale=0.5 // higher = better looking, more defined SSAO effect, but costs a lot of fps.

    FilterQuality=0 // Filtering for SSAO, lower = higher quality filtering, higher = lower quality & more flickering.

    AOAmount=2.0 // Try 1.10 & 1.20. Always try to keep these two the same value, and try not to go higher than 1.50, or SSAO will look too bright.

    ILAmount=1.0 // Try 1.10 & 1.20. Always try to keep these two the same value, and try not to go higher than 1.50, or SSAO will look too bright.

    EdgeLighteningAmount=0.1 // This has a large affect when stood or parked under a light source, high values can make SSAO look extremely bright.

  • Watch for texture problems and remove mods last put in to test.
  • I would ensure all AV/Malware/Backup/Other BS Programs were disabled or removed completely.
  • When I ran GTA on a non-SSD drive I usually bring up a command prompt (Run as Administrator) and type "cd.." [without brackets] until the prompt reads: C:\> then type "compact /u /s /a /i /f" and hit enter. This can help with files that might have been compressed and are being used now and again. Compressed files have to be decompressed, then recompressed before/after the OS uses them - some people have a problem with that.

Nvidia Control Panel

  • Ambient Occlusion: Off
  • Anistropic Filtering: 16x
  • Antialiasing FXAA: Off
  • Antialiasing Mode: Off
  • CUDA: None
  • Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames: 1
  • Multi-Display: Multi-Display Performance Mode
  • Power Management: Prefer Max
  • Texture Filtering: Off
  • Texture Filtering Negative LOD Bias: Clamp
  • Texture Filtering Quality: Quality
  • Trilinear Optimization: On
  • Threaded Optimization: Off
  • Triple Buffering: Off
  • Vertical Sync: Off

I would love to make some scenes screens but my computer really sucks for doing that kind of screens I mean I run my game at 5-10FPS so don't blame me :/ I'm only able to make static screens without action and showing some cars .. If you want I stop posting cars screens here I would understand.

@AzR, just post whatever you want, as soon as you didn't break any rules.
