Victory Tee Crate Drops Requirements? My case

So earlier today and this whole weekend, i wasn't getting crate drops at all. Wasted a lot of time on sessions but nothing seemed to make them appear. So a bit of search online, i stumbled upon people claiming that you needed to complete Trevor mission "Lost my Mind". And as a matter of fact you actually need to. After completing it i receive a call from Ron and in the pause menu, in stats>progress under unlocks (something like that), crate drops now appeared unlocked rather than locked. I also did other Ron missions but i don't think they affected this. Have a friend invite you to the mission or do some gang attacks around Trevor House, Senora Desert. After a while you'll get a text from Trevor with the mission. Also cycle trough sessions once you unlock crates it's much faster. I hope this helps any of you. Hurry up though.

Im convinced there is no one certain mission you need to do, here is all that needs to happen:

 

1) Complete a mission for Ron, this will get Trevor's attention and he'll start sending you missions.

 

2) Complete a mission for Trevor, doesn't matter which one, and they will "take you into the fold" and call to tell you about crate drops.

 

Everyone seems to think you have to do such and such a mission to unlock crates, for me it was "Satellite Commications", for you it was "Lost my Mind", etc. I just think it's as simple as doing a mission for each guy to get in their good graces.

 

It would have saved me a lot of time waiting for specific missions when I was trying to unlock crates. I passed on about five Trevor missions waiting for "Satellite Communications" because I thought it was the only mission that unlocks them even though the mission itself has nothing to do with crates whatsoever.

I don't recall doing that mission with any of my characters, and both of them have crate drops unlocked.

Theres a couple of them they are level based.

 

Sat comm works but you have to be whatever level to start the mission. Like 65.

 

So people under 65 have to do some other trevir/ron mission.

 

Theyre just level based, so the lower level missions will still work when your high level and if youre low level and a friend gets you into the highdr level ones like Sat comm that works too.

I've never done that mission and I've unlocked crates. All you have to do is do one mission from Trevor (after having done several from Ron).

 

After that, you need to cycle through random events in a public lobby of 4 or more players until a crate drops. I collected two special crates in the span of about an hour last night (same lobby). Rockstar seems to have gotten its sh*t together regarding crates.

Yes I just explained you dont have to do sat comm, its level based so the first trevor mission is somewhere around 25. If you havent done any trevir missions then Sat comm will probably be the most popular choice because of other reasons like it pays well.
