I've noticed recently you can link/mention members in posts, for example - [member=Name] I was thinking that maybe we could have a notification alert every time we are mentioned. In this case, if some one were to ask a question directly to me, I would be linked directly to that post and I could easily respond with out a hassle. I think a notification (Same place were you are notified of 'Likes') when someone quotes a post of yours or mentions you would be great. All too often do replies get buried in pages of replies to where several times I don't even know if someone replied to me or not. This would solve that. EDIT: As pointed out by hornedturtle, their is already a notification option for quotes. Good to know. This isn't about quotes. That's a neat feature though, I wasn't aware that we had it. I think it could be useful if you could be notified about it. There is a hook available for IPB which allows @Member to notify the member who got mentioned, however, it's not possible to configure it like you can with being notified when you're quoted. When IPB releases their new 4.0, and they (GTAnet) are pretty confident that it's stable. So it will most likely take some months for the switch to happen.
