Indeed, if someone else mods... sorry, fully upgrades a vehicle for you you can't put a tracker and insurance on it. Nor can you sell it.

tonight i had a player offer me a modded hearse.

i didn't know if he (or she) men't fully upgraded or modded into the game.

i didn't take chances i didn't reply.

i just voted to kick, game him or her a bad review, and reported the player to both microsoft and rockstar.

doing that likely made me look like an asshole (i'm not, i'm a nice guy).

Why would you turn him down and report him though, he was offering you a vehicle which is now practiaclly unobtainable. You should only have kicked him if he was offering you the towtruck or something else that is gamebreaking.

Someone once offered me a modified Sentinel. Turns out to be an ignition bomb death-trap.

 

For now on, if someone offers me a modified vehicle, I'll ask the person to get in first to see if it's not a trap.

 

 

Then again, he may have a remote bomb installed...
