How will R* surpass themselves?

How do you think Rockstar will surpass themselves with GTA 6? Will bigger be better? Will more be better?

 

That seems to be the most natural way to go. But I believe quality over quantity seems to be more logical. Take a look at GTA V, it has a vast cityscape, towns, hills, mountains, rivers, desert, waterfalls, and considering the amout of freedom, gameplay, vehicles, graphics are pretty good even on the PS3 or Xbox 360. That being said, most of the play area are empty space and hollow buldings and uninteresting alleys. If GTA V was any bigger, with San Fierro and Las Venturas, there would be more empty spaces and hollow buildings.

 

If they stay the scale more or less, make it feel more alive, a living and breathing city, more content, more interactivity, i think that Rockstar will surpass themselves.

 

I was replaying Hitman Absolution the other day. The chinatown level was amazing. Lots of people, lots of noise, lots of commotion. If only it was more like GTA.

Seeing how long R* takes to make it is the question. Will GTA 6 even come out on new gen systems? or will it be on ps5/xboxwhatever

I felt that way too. I used to play for hours! Now I barely play for an hour. Maybe it is the players that are getting older.

Yes, they could, but if they really want to surpass themselves after the f*ckup that is GTA0, they will include even more overpowered weapons and unbalanced game mechanics, and then make Bad Sport even worse to compensate.

stop limiting the scope of the game in every possible way and R* might surpass, however I think they have passed it not surpassed unless the PS4/XB1 is a vastly different game with a total rethink on R*'s part into the goals and aims of online. Give the gamers what they want not the shareholders. Then they can watch the money roll in again and we r satisfied to give it. Win/Win

People are going to expect the beyond reasonable and will rant and rave once it's released.

 

During my days of playing through IV the map never really crossed my mind of being a problem. The city was well done, it was large and diverse and interesting to explore. The lack of countryside or a second city didn't hold the game itself back from achieving what it set out to do. Yet people still found the ungrateful energy to complain and explain how they were entitled to so much more.

 

Now they went out and made a game with a city even larger than IV's and put down about 15 square miles of nature all around it. From an objective standpoint the city is very large and crazily well detailed. When I see people complaining about how not every building is enterable or saying how small the city is I want to just smack a handful of wake the f*ck up across their face. No appreciation, no realization of the work and effort people poured into this. I honestly and wholeheartedly feel the next generation of children do not deserve a new Grand Theft Auto. The majority will be ungrateful for whatever's given to them, I say f*ck them and let them continue to rot alongside the gaming industry of flap bird and whatever other sh*t apps they beg their parents to buy for them.
