Things that would improve GTAO in my opinion

The prologue had a story. It was Lamar who you met on Lifeinvader and who gave you a gun, an introduction and so on. But, what happens afterwards? The player starts grinding generic missions over and over in seperate sessions to earn money to spend on zentornos. But who is the orderer? Who pays for the deathmatches? Why are the jobs in seperate sessions?

It would be a really really good game if it had a story and if it wouldn't be focused on "game-like" things like menus, lobbies, interaction menus and mission triggers and stuff. Imagine having an own story like the SP one with exciting, outstanding missions! The 'ever evolving world of GTA Online' like in the trailer...

What if you were in a world like Watch Dogs? Players wouldn't be displayed on the radar, the online missions would be in the exact same lobby as the normal free roam players, no bad sport, no garages, houses and sh*t...

Imagine playing through a story with Online characters, cutscenes, amazing cinematic jobs and so on...

Imagine cruising down Los Santos. You see some players doing Rooftop Rumble, after watching a bit, you go on. As you pass the IAA building, you watch some level 200 guys doing an exclusive IAA heist or whatever. You decide to roll by Simeon, maybe he has some missions for you. Indeed, he wants a very expensive car that is currently transported by a Cargobob. You shoot it down, get the car, avoid some headhunter players and get to Simeon. You decide to rob a bank, so you walk up to some player, ask him for a heist, you go plan it and execute it. You want to race? No problem, just do a race. But the payout wouldn't just be there, but rather it would be the summary of all the bets the players paid. A deathmatch? Just kill some player, no need for an extra job.

It would make GTA Online just such an awesome game to play, because you don't know what happens next. Maybe some roleplay crew teamed up on you and plans a cinematic ambush like that securicar heist in SP? You won't know, because the ambush is not f*cking marked on the f*cking minimap.

Original characters, your character rising in the ever emerging criminal network and getting famous.

All this 'leveling up', 'grinding missions', 'lobbies' and all this new stuff is literally ruining Online. If everything would be in one session without player blips, the world would be much more exciting.

Here's some ideas

Dedicated servers

Stop making it a F2P game

Pull the plug on last gen and work on current gen (better hardware, better graphics capabilities)

Fix their gun performance

Fix their car performance

Fix their stats (lung capacity is absolutely useless)

Add things people actually want (hydraulics, nos, basket system)

Drop the overinflated (compared to sp) prices

Increase payouts

Fix their AI (badly)

Fix their AI

What if you just went and played watchdogs instead of making this game watchdogs?

Two different games.

That is what I think.

Kid, there are TONS of things that would improve GTA V online. But there is no hope, because R* is in charge and Shark Cards exist. As long as shark cards exist, the game will NEVER be truly fun.

Red Dead Redemption has an ability bar on multiplayer. And fast travel stations. Online has none of those. It needs those. I only know that 'cause I got RDR on the cheap. Looks better than Online too landscape wise. Hardly played it though. Clueless what to do on it. And free roam seems broke.

Because Watch Dogs sucked. :p A boring, empty world with bad graphics. The only awesome things were the freerunning system and the multiplayer.

Great idea OP!
I have some suggestions on customizing a GTA Online session when we are hosting the session!
Police:
We should be able to not be wanted by the police, even if we go to Fort Zancudo or imprisonment Sandy Shore or in other forbidden places! Because I find it really annoying that you can not visit these places without police chasing us! And GTA IV, we could remove the cops from a session if we host!

Radar:
I think Rockstar should expose a new option rather ingenious! In fact, it would be that, for example, when you are in a session, you look at the list of players who are here, but you do not see them on the radar! But if the player shoots a gun, you can see and detect during 30-50 of seconds! I think it would be nice to have surprises!

Weather:

We should be able to decide how are the weather in the session! For example, if you want to host a session where it is always night infinitely. Or if you want there is a storm and rain infinitely.

We should also decide to customize a session where it is impossible to kill us! As was possible in GTA IV free mode where no one could kill! Because many players complain to be bothered by a lot of people when they are in a store or want to take a leisurely stroll.

I suggest that it would also make sense to be able to decide which session we want to go! A session with players from the same region as us, or elsewhere? I'm Moroccan but I like playing with people Americans personally because I always fall on sessions with Americans.

And I think we should maybe sort the players of a very high level with other players that have the same level! Because I find it unfair That a player Who has a level 16 gets killed by a player with a 100 level that has all the weapons unlocked.

Oh yeah, RDR has friendly lobbies too. Not to be a dick, but I reckon Online lacks friendly lobbies 'cause Cash Cards :D ...*ducks a flying fist*.

This is assuming that players won't kill each other on sight for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Which we all know would never happen in GTA Online.

Sorry, but this would have to be optional. I feel that they should of made a longer, but optional tutorial. I like the idea of an optional story line that one could progress through in order to reach 120. It would include a race, parachute, lts, tdm, dm, one each of the various capture modes, and a mandatory introductory mission by each contact when you reach the required level. Optional is the key word.

Right now Online needs incentive to rank up beyond 135 and patches for all the technical issues we've been experiencing in the game.

They just organized the hairstyle menu, but they should of taken it a step further by including the clothing and accessory menus along with the Pegasus phone menu options.

I need one more garage so that I can keep the seven motorcyles I like.

I literally could go on for days on what could improve this game.

More Ideas

no bad sport

no cheater pool

GTA IV style presets (preferably from the phone) and lobby creation (friendly fire on/off, auto aim on/off, cops on/off, etc)

Weapon pickups scattered about (like in SP)

Fix the damn robocops who can see & shoot through everything

Storable cop cars (garage or Pegasus)

Other storable large vehicles (pegasus- ex semi trucks, various utility vehicles, etc)

addition of Jet, cargoplane, and cargobob for purchase

fix their slow ass planes

use of the unmarked cruiser, police cruiser, fib buffalo, (more of the) police bike, and police buffalo by LSPD

Insurance for bike rack (tired of buying bikes over and over and over and over)

request bicycle from rack from mechanic

ADD the GODDAMN Fixter

De-nerf the tank, make the reload speed longer (its way too fast), and turret speed slower (also too fast)

Make the MG usable on the tank

the tank is fine as is, we don't need to see a return of tank griefers.

and so are cheater pool and bad sport.

but i would love to see a return of being able to garage cop vehicles.

the thing that i can see helping out the most would be a change in the mindset of the Online community.

Some kind of overarching story would be nice for sure. Even just seeing your character in more cut scenes would feel like a novelty.

For example when you rank up and get a new mission from Martin, when you do it for the first time it'd be cool to see him talking you through it first, rather than a bit of descriptive text that I hardly ever read anyway.

I want the original payout. I missed being payed 36k on Convoted and Rooftop Rumble. I'm sick of waiting 15 minutes for a 18k-20k payout.

Edit: this post is 3 weeks old
