They delayed it on previous gen because GTA 5 was a new game. It's not new anymore so I wouldn't see a reason for them to delay online as it's already up and running.

No. Online will be available on launch day.

 

It was delayed 2 weeks after the original release, not a month.

Tbh, im more worried about the GTA:O servers f*cking up on launch day and causing issues with the stats transfer, or just overall connection issues. :/

 

Im gonna wait a few days after launch day to see what happens, because I do not want to loose my lvl 90 character after waiting 5 months to play gta:o again!(my ps3 broke lol). And they wont delay it again, they just ported the game to next gen, they werent making a brand new game this time. :)

Absolutely incorrect. Not sure why so many people still think of this as a port over. R* went back & worked on the entire game again. They were working on it before it even launched on PS3/360. So to say "they just ported the game" is pure & utter rubbish.

 

Im a bit worried about the stability of the progression transfer as well though. Beings as most of my crew isnt moving over in the foreseeable future, im likely going to wait until i know everything is working properly before transferring over.

Do you have a source or are you just talking bullsh*t?i know they worked on everything again, i meant to say that they didnt have to make an entire game again, they went back and used already-existing things to make the next-gen version better, idc tbh lol

 

And im having the same problem as you lol, im the only person in my entire crew with a ps4, but my ps3 broke so i dont know what to do now xD

It was never delayed. It was not opened because Rockstar wanted players to do the story to get the basics of the game. In hindsight it might've been better as players would have plenty to do with the knowledge the game wasn't online.

I think there was some speculation when they said it would be a fall release that they might try to have it out for the one year anniversary...maybe that's what you were thinking of.

No, the reason they did that before is so they could have more time to get it up and running. They are passed that phase now, and should be more knowledgeable about problems. I think for the most part it will be smooth sailing.
