Heists and Cash Cards

  1. 1. Can heists exist without much effect on cash cards?

Explain why if yes. The reasons for no are obvious, but it's inevitable that heists will come out (no "heists will never come out jokes"), and I don't see them getting rid of one of their most profitable business methods.

If this topic existed, please, go poop yourself.

Yes. Things will just be more expensive after heists are introduced, or more content will be released, one of the two. Or heists will only pay 4x what an original mission pays now after probably an hour of effort, meaning there's no real change to grinding anyway.

All I got is speculation...

Heists are not a game option.

I'm sure they can...

Just like any game mode.

I wouldn't mind if either of those happened to be honest. But I can only imagine the hate they'd get. Players would have a right to be pissed if that second option happened.

I do not see the obvious reasons for "no".

I thought it was obvious that if heists did payout as much as most would EXPECT to be (around quarter mil to one mil), then no one would need to buy that $20 dollar shark card. Even if there was a 1 week wait to do a heist again, I still wouldn't see how shark card sales would not plummet drastically.

No one knows what heists will involve. Perhaps you need the million dollar dump truck for a heist....

they would release heist once the cash card side of business die down...

or they can release heist while increasing the overall cost of living to keep things in "balance".

make things more expensive so cash cards are still a viable option.

Depends on what heists payouts will look like. Heists can't be so lucrative that shark cards become a joke, I don't see heists paying out anything higher than 80,000 or else one day of heists could net you millions which would make shark cards irrevelant.

Nobody truly knows the details of Heists the way it is. You may have to be a certain rank, or accrued JP or even if its something that could not be repeated.

Simeons list only shows up every 24 hours, so its fathomable that a Heist call from Lester could follow the same data path.

Also, best guess is that all participants receive maybe double what normal missions pay the way it is. If that's the case, and if people could even be bothered to the heist prep, I don't see it conflicting with cash cards.

Going back into old rumors, it was speculated that the JP you got from completing jobs would need to be used to initiate heists. After all you still get JP for missions that aren't on a playlist and they're retained for a while after in free-roam. Maybe this is true maybe it isn't but either was I'd wager we won't be able to grind heists like we can missions.

Yes they can.

With fixed payout of $30k and everlasting popping-up terminators to prevent you from running away from the heist scene.

Tbh, when Rockstar brought up the idea of Heist in Online, probably there was still no term of Cash Cards. Until suddenly some f*ckface higher up (and may not from internal) proposed the idea of Cash Card and forced it to be in and now they are in clusterf*ck paradox.

Even if heists payed a quarter million they would still exist and be bought.

I'm assuming you mean because bank heists in of themselves imply a sh!t ton of money... yet R* wants us to buy shark cards.

They can't pay sh!t or make heists stupidly challenging and unbalanced without showing their true intentions.

Damn. That is quite a paradox!

I'm guessing heist payout won't be in the millions so your gonna have to do a lot of em to buy the new $50 million dollar hyrda that's coming out... and if u got a few bucks lying around you just might f*ck around and buy some cash cards

cash cards give players an advantage instead of making them earn in game money. should be removed. Heists will never come out lol... or did I miss something.

Money gives you no advantage just more options, i mean yeah you can go buy a jet but you can also steal planes for free. Houses give you no advantage competitively and as far as cars all you really need is zentorno lol all my other cars are collecting dust.

Cash cards just save you from grinding for money nothing more

You make it sound as if the Heists are going to make us all filthy rich. Whatever the amount we get the First time you complete will most likely be 4 times the amount we get paid doing any of them the second.

Have you seen the prices of DLC items?

We also have absolutely zero clue what the prices of ANYTHING will be on Next Gen. Cars, clothes, weapons, even shark cards could change value.

Heists and Shark Cards will coexist.

Casino and Shark Cards will coexist.

The entire future of GTA Online and Shark Cards will coexist.

Please stop with the Shark blah blah blah nonsense, they're here to stay, and they are far more successful at this than you give them credit for.

Heist plans will be contained in a very rare Special Crate Drop :p

Actually, every heist will have a step along the way, where the players need to get a combination to an unhackable safe or access door. The combination will be unlocked by a unique number on each cash card, which one of the players will have to register on the web to get the actual combination. The number on the cash card can only be used once and then it becomes invalid. If the players fail the heist, they have to get another cash card to try it over again. Win-win (for Rockstar).

That's exactly why these types microtransactions plague every game series they touch.

Cash card conspiracy isn't that wacky. The thinking here is shark cards give developers incentive to make Online worse so you'll buy your way out of it.

They'll purposly make playing a chore when it wouldn't be if they weren't making money from it. This isn't just limited to GTA Online, either.

Think of stupidly challenging arcade games that are basically designed to make you lose so you put in more quarters.

Sorry, you can't make millions from stealing at the richest bank in LS, here's 20k.

You want to gamble 100k on red 36? Oh look, red 36. Here's 20k.

Is Rockstar the Rick Harrison of gaming?

assuming funmw2 found code that relates to how Heists wil be implemented....

the player will have to invest their own money in planning and preparing for the job. (cashcard sales to the lazy or time- strapped)

the job won't pay that well after overheads and been divided among the crew. (people who buy CCs will continue to do so as the financial benefit will not be sufficient)

R* want you to spend your time or your money. if you spend money they like that, cos y'know money is neat. if you spend your time you keep the lobbies of their year old game nice and full and fun for those who buy Shark Cards.

yes both can coexist.

Dude, R* will make more money on cash card when heist are out than any time before. To even do a heist you need to burn some money for setup etc and that they´ll earn big loafs of money on.

wow that so evil that R* may do it!

they would go this path if they really want to dethrone EA and Activision as the most evil, greedy, money grabbin game developer/publishers out there!

I can see that. Especially when most players can't do math.

I'm guessing we will spent little by little for heist preparation and then the heist payout is 500k. Then player thinks rockstar is so generous while they have spent a total of 480k for the heist preparation.
