How to obtain the Vapid Speedo EASY on GTA Online after 1.17

Hey all, here's a perfectly legitimate way to obtain the Vapid Speedo. No glitches, no exploits, no hacks, nothing. Sorry if this is old, but it might come in handy for those who want the Speedo without resorting to glitches.

1) In GTA Online, load up the mission 'Potshot'.

2) Progress through the mission as normal until you obtain the Speedo.

3) Once obtained, drive to the area marked on the map below:

4) Parked in that area should be a Vapid Speedo of any random color.

5) Steal it and make the journey back to your safehouse.

6) Drive it into your garage and store it.

7) Once the van is inside your garage, exit the garage, go back to the Speedo and finish the mission as normal (isn't required, but it does net you around $18,000 )

8) Insure your Speedo at LSC when back in Free Mode (probably a good idea to do this in a private session).

Congrats! You now have a Vapid Speedo.

Due to a bug (shocker...) with the Last Team Standing update, Potshot has disappeared from the Mission menu in the Pause menu. To start Potshot, you'll need the following:

It wasnt on my list, thats why I asked. Im level 166 so it should be there I guess. Ive played it before. Anyways, a friend of mine had it in a playlist so he helped me out.

The Mission 'Grab Your Ballas' works for this as well. the best place I've found that spawn the Speedo using this method is the Ammunation off GOH (Chumash) - the one next to the tattoo parlor and Sub Urban store. Beside the building to the north, there's almost always a black Speedo parked there when you're driving one from the mission.

 

In case some of you weren't aware, Rockstar have gone back to the good 'ole days. You can now store vehicles in your garage again while on a mission. So if you're doing a mission and see a rare car, take that bad boy to your garage. Hopefully they'll leave it this way, and not patch it in 1.18

I tried this with Grab Your Ballas, tried to store it in my garage but It did not work. I might try this one.

 

Am I gonna store it while Im inside the mission or finish the mission then store it?

This will not work, there is a way with driving the van AFTHER the mission into a mission circle, get out, mission starts, exit mission, and the van should be insurable.

 

But beside the location OP mentioned there is a location on the left side of the map (close to those 3 stores) where a speedo will spawn for 100% if you're driving a speedo.

 

I own 3 speedo's, and you're on my friend list.

When i see you online tomorrow i can help you get one?

This will not work, there is a way with driving the van AFTHER the mission into a mission circle, get out, mission starts, exit mission, and the van should be insurable.

But beside the location OP mentioned there is a location on the left side of the map (close to those 3 stores) where a speedo will spawn for 100% if you're driving a speedo.

Thanks for the heads up, I tried it with a Merryweather Mesa within A Titan of a Job mission, but it wouldn't let me store it in my garage, it appears the only non-glitch way you can acquire them is to steal one from freeroam mercenaries.

I Was gonna say "since when can ya store vehicles during a mission again?"

But I see that has changed.

What about mission objective vehcles? like the Editor and Thief Felon? or the Cops Capacity Dominator?

The Dominator used to sell for 16k cause it has BP tires..

You don't store the van in the mission. You use the van you can obtain to make other vans spawn. Try the locations the fellow put on the map once you're in the mission fan - they'll spawn pretty faithfully. I always find blacks ones parked next to the Chumash plaze (the one with Ammunation, Ink'd, and Suburban.)
